Re: Just Like Magic: A Washington Wizards Story
Changes Coming For Washington
The Washington Wizards find themselves at a measly 16-25 at the midway point of the 2017 NBA season. They currently stand at 13th in the conference and are 4 games out of the playoffs which doesn't seem like much, but the Wizards have only been over .500 once this year (4-3) and have not put together a respectable winning streak up to this point. The questions now arise as trade rumors fly around the NBA. Who are the Wizards willing to trade to get some real talent? Or have they already folded this year and tanking for a top pick?
Trade Assets:
Ian Mahimi - The 31-year old center is only contributing 2.2 points and 3.1 rebounds per game at this point. After this year his trade value may plummet, so the Wizards should move him while they can.
Jason Smith - Another big who is dreadfully underperforming. He is scoring only 2.1 points and grabbing 1.8 rebounds per game. The only problem with trading him: the return could be worse than Smith.Just Like Magic: A Washington Wizards StoryComment

Big Trade For Wizards
The Washington Wizards recently conducted a trade with the New Orleans Pelicans. The Wizards will send backup center Ian Mahinmi, their 2017 2nd Round pick, and their 2018 first and second round picks in exchange for the Pelicans guard Buddy Hield, SF Solomon Hill, and the Pelicans 2017 first round pick.
The Wizards will get a pair of young prospects in Buddy Hield and Solomon Hill while the Pelicans will get another big man to pair up with AD.
