Ouch -- CP3 with only 3 assists (WHAT??), that's a no go for a veteran starter, I love the rest of his stat line but the lack of dimes is telling. Morant feasted, so did Winslow and Brooks. Tough loss.

I felt like he finally was able to get it going this game. The assists were low because our guys just couldn't hit water if they jumped out of a boat in the middle of the ocean. It's amazing how bad our role players are on offense.

This is why Schroder has been such a blessing off the bench. His ability to drive and create shots for himself is head and shoulders above Paul right now, but he can't defend or make passes the way CP3 does. But at least he can get a bucket when no one else can hit the jumper.

The Woj Report: Gilgeous-Alexander Trade Rumors

            The Woj Report
Woj: Multiple teams interested in trading for Thunder guard Gilgeous-Alexander

Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN is reporting that multiple teams have expressed interest in trading for Oklahoma City's second-year guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.

According to Woj, his sources have named the New York Knicks as the team expressing the most interest, though the Celtics have also made a strong push.

"I have heard of specific offers that have been made by New York surrounding a package of Mitchell Robinson and Frank Ntilikina, and Boston has rumored to have thrown Marcus Smart's name into the mix" says Woj, though Oklahoma City does not appear to be interested in moving on from Gilgeous-Alexander. "At this time, I don't believe a deal will get done, but it's the first time I'm hearing the Knicks' willingness to move Robinson."

While unlikely, it seems that the Thunder have options if they choose to swing any deals this season after an eventful offseason. You can't count anything out when it comes to GM Sam Presti.

Yeah, SGA is a longterm piece -- unless the Knicks are sending me Robinson, Frankie Smokes, and an unprotected first (that's definitely in the upper part of the lottery) I'm hanging up the phone. New York wants a star, they're gonna have to pay for one. It would be a short-sighted move for the Knicks, but that's them in a nutshell.

I love Mitch, but I already have Adams and Noel, so I don't really see myself making a move for him. I'm also a fan of Frank, but I have enough defensive minded role players that have a hard time creating. I'm beginning to like picks less and less for actually using them to draft players. We have a ton of picks and I feel like they might be more valuable trading rather than building through the draft. At least for this upcoming draft -- unless I end up using historic classes instead

Thanks! I am definitely trying to be creative with all the different segments to avoid from being too routine and to keep things interesting.

Thanks for checking in, appreciate it!

We finally were able to hit some shots lol. CP3 is definitely the leader on this team. Sometimes I'll play off-ball defense just to let him go to work. He's super scrappy and it's fun having him knock balls loose and get in guys grills. It was fun having everyone perform well in the same game.

It was really rewarding and satisfying to finally get that win on the books. He's way better on this game than I thought he would be. He continually impresses me with some of his finishes, and definitely with his ability to shoot off the dribble. I liked watching him IRL at Kentucky, but this is the first time playing with him in 2K and I'm really enjoying it.

Yeah this was the first game where I felt that I had control of the team and everyone was gelling. It was back and forth all game actually, I think there were between 15 and 20 lead changes until I pulled away in the fourth. We went on a run and never looked back. I was nervous to pull the starters, but we went up big and only had a minute left.

Thanks man! It was nice seeing everyone get on the same page in this one. Gallo actually needs to get more touches I think. I feel like he bails me out so much and hits a lot of desperation jumpers with guys in his face. He's also really good off the dribble and has the size to finish at the rim. Of the three, he definitely gets the least amount of love, but he's been just as, if not more important than the others.

Thanks for checking in everyone, much appreciated!

Jazz game is the last of the month, so I'm just taking some extra time trying to put together a layout for a monthly recap article.
