    MyLeague / NBA 2K21 (Xbox Series X): ZTEN's NBA 21 Reality Simulation

I'll start this off by saying I have been HEAVY on the new threads lately and that's only because ALL OF IT is due to my NBA 21 Reality roster project!

Roster itself can be found here: https://forums.operationsports.com/f...x-new-gen.html

Gameplay sliders can be found here: https://forums.operationsports.com/f...x-new-gen.html

Newly created draft class can be found here (it has a unique twist to it): https://forums.operationsports.com/f...-gen-xbox.html

I'll most likely be utilizing these exact MyLeague settings by Sim Gaming Network: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Ec593IdRrs

And finally, this is the OS-wide thread that most closely correlates with this topic: https://forums.operationsports.com/f...gue-mynba.html

My job as a roster maker is not just to perform all of my work and then release it and announce it's ready for you guys then hope for downloads (actually that's kind of what inspired this whole thing about not just relying on all of that good stuff).

It's also to prove the quality of my work and that's part of what I'm doing here. I know that obviously my roster can only do so much and that simulation kind of has a mind of its own regardless of what roster you're using, but here are the different outcomes of MyLeague using my roster for what it's worth...

What I'm doing is simulating the first season for 5 separate MyLeague files, sharing all of the results, and see what the consistency is like. There also could be differences that aren't necessarily bad either.

Here goes the schedule I'm planning for each simulation, as I plan on sharing every result from that respective season on these days:

    SEASON 1: FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 12

    SEASON 2: THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 18

    SEASON 3: TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 23

    SEASON 4: SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 28

    SEASON 5: FRIDAY, MARCH 5

Re: MyLeague / NBA 2K21 (Xbox Series X): ZTEN's NBA 21 Reality Simulation

Here are some of the key simulation sliders that were used for ZTEN's opening season of NBA Reality 2K21 (I know I mentioned I was going with Schnaidt's sliders but I did tweak some things to make sure the scoring was up enough):

    Player Fatigue Rate - 40
    Player Recovery Rate - 65
    Team Pace - 70
    Team Fastbreak - 50
    Possessions Per Game - 70
    Shots - 70
    Turnovers - 70
    Shot Medium - 50
    Shot Three - 80
    Three-Point Percentage - 40

The average point total across the league was 114.35 - compared to the current point total of 111.72 in the real NBA. I actually kind of like that...and that brings me to the regular season scoring leaders (top 25):

    Kevin Durant - 31.4 PPG
    Donovan Mitchell - 29.4 PPG
    Steph Curry - 27.4 PPG
    Trae Young - 27.1 PPG
    Jayson Tatum - 27.0 PPG
    Luka Doncic - 26.9 PPG
    Colin Sexton - 26.1 PPG
    Devin Booker - 25.6 PPG
    Kawhi Leonard - 25.6 PPG
(10th leading scorer was the MVP - which will be shared very soon!)
    Giannis Antetokounmpo - 24.6 PPG
    Bradley Beal - 24.2 PPG
    Damian Lillard - 23.8 PPG
    Ja Morant - 23.7 PPG
    Anthony Davis - 23.5 PPG
    Shai Gilgeous-Alexander - 23.4 PPG
    Jamal Murray - 23.0 PPG
    Karl-Anthony Towns - 22.9 PPG
    Jaylen Brown - 22.9 PPG
    James Harden - 22.6 PPG
    LeBron James - 22.5 PPG
    Brandon Ingram - 22.5 PPG
    Joel Embiid - 22.5 PPG
    Paul George - 22.4 PPG
    Jerami Grant - 22.2 PPG

I can't complain with much there. The LBJ/Davis balance is fine (only about 1.5 PPG short of real life).

I was looking forward to getting Harden average more points in 2K21 but the idea of that clearly changed due to the trade to Brooklyn. He attempted nearly the same exact amount of shots to real life today.

The only two players that stand out and should be scoring more are Dame and Beal. The Wizards averaged enough PPG so that Beal could have been scoring more. So either the shot distribution needs to be better or it was just unlucky during this simulation. Same goes for the Blazers and Lillard.

I am extremely pleased with the scoring averages of Colin Sexton and Jerami Grant - both followed the trend in real life of becoming more versatile scorers. Hopefully my roster had something to do with those.

    More to come on Thursday!

Nikola Jokic cruises to first career MVP award

The Joker was simply fantastic in Simulation #1 of the 2020-21 season, posting stellar averages of 24.6 points, 13.5 rebounds and 7.4 assists while shooting 39.7 percent from three-point range.

"I feel great about being named the league's MVP and owe it all to my coaches and teammates."

Jokic led the Nuggets to a league-best 64 wins. He also led the league in PER (Player Efficiency Rating) at 31.9. The next closest player was LeBron James at 28.7.

Put a historical season in the books for Nikola Jokic. The Nuggets are set to face Minnesota in the first round and would play the winner of Golden State-Dallas if they advance to the next round.
