yeah I had to contact xbox support and do a bunch of things to get it to work. Sadly this is a brutal week for the Cavs, but just a one point loss and then eight to the Clippers isn't that bad while still trying to figure out how to exactly make everything work.

Although I will say that the CPU does not approve of Simmons at SF. He is basically double every time he touches the ball within ten feet since he usually has some little guy on him. Except for the Clippers then Leonard was all they needed.

      Re: Uncertainty in 'Believeland - A Cav's 22 story

Stifling defense, lack of fouls, and speed helps with a W

      Cavs (3-2) vs. Lakers (3-2)

For the first time all season the Cavs would let their opponents shoot a higher field goal possession than them (just in the first half). While most think that is why the Lakers would be up as much as 20 in the first half, it sadly wasn't. It would be the up-in-your-face defense pressure that forced 16 turnovers in the first half and the bully defense as they would go up and challenge every shot. Even three-pointers in which Garland would go to the line twice being foul on a deep shot.

Second half would be a different story. Cavs would start to chip away at the lead. With the game at home for the Lakers they got some fouls without being called and some hard fouls not being technical fouls. LeBron James would pick up his first foul in the fourth when the game was just a six point game in which he was heard saying "I will not be losing to the Cavs." while arguing that it wasn't a foul to a ref. Lakers would win but it wouldn't be the easiest of wins and shows growth for the Cavs. While they fall back down to earth with a .500 record there is still a lot of promise in the game. Especially with Evan Mobley who got a triple double with 23 points, 24 rebounds, and 10 blocks in the game.

Good numbers of free throws and good stats overall, I saw you are using the SoIceDae sliders, I am using them in some quick games but I can't get good numbers, I will have to test on more games before starting my Mynba

For the most part they play great. I also play on 12 minute quarters so I don't know how it goes if you do less. It seems right. I might have to lower blocks, but for the block alley-oops I got nothing for that (other than make them not throw it). I will say though when you get hot you get hot so there are times where I will just chuck it up so I miss shots. Also last four years I played as a center in MyPlayer so I tend to do well in the paint scoring.

I will say the first 3 games I tested if you try to push it all the time or lose focus when you are losing you will get crushed. I try to tend to run sets, Game is very unforgiving (or sliders) if there is a guy close to you when shooting, but very forgiving if no one is not around despite the close out, but that just might be the game itself.

Tell Ben Simmons to get an outside shot.

Mobley can somewhat shoot out there, Of course Garland and Curry can but they are always guarded tight. It helps when Simmons gets doubled, but for the most part like I said in a previous post. Game is very unforgiving when it comes to shooting when a guy is somewhat close to you. Or at least I struggle with outside shots, but yes I know I need to shoot more.

Paul and Booker forget about game to complain all game

                Cavs (3-3) vs. Suns (2-2)

Sun would jump out to a early 12 point lead to start the game. Then being up and seeing the Cavs block all the shots taken within eight feet of the basket Paul and Booker would start complaining about fouls. Refs would continue to call ticky-tacky fouls for the Suns while the Cavs would get hammered in the paint. Cavs wouldn't raise their voice and would continue to just pound it inside for offense while shutting down the paint on defense. That is of course if the Suns didn't go to the line. Still it would be a tie game after the first quarter and the Suns would only have a five point lead into half. What was surprising was that Mobley would only have 2 points, a rebound, and 3 assists in the first half.

Paul would have 13 assists in this game and I swear 12 of them came to Crowder as Mobley would have to come over as Paul would use the screen to snake in the paint which left Crowder wide open on three's which he was 12/18 from deep. The Suns would make more three-pointers in the game than the Cavs would attempt. Still when it came down to the end it was talking from Paul and Booker to try to get to the lane while Curry was a perfect 6/6 in the final 30 seconds of the game to seal it.

                        October Monthly Report

                        Scoring Leaders

                        19th Ben Simmons 25.7

                        Rebounding Leaders

                        8th Jarrett Allen 13.1

                        Assist Leaders

                        9th Ben Simmons 7.8

                        Steal Leaders

                        Block Leaders

                        Eastern Conference Standings

                        Western Conference Standings

                        Central Division Standings

If you though the Cavs would just be 1.5 games behind first place in the division after playing against Western Conference teams of Clippers, Lakers, Suns and Grizzles in the first seven games then you are a true die hard fan since no one saw this coming. Sure even after the three way trade that brought in Ben Simmons and without knowing Mobley would be this dominate on the defensive end people still didn't even think being above .500 on the year was possible for the first month and here we are at 4-3 and they surprising been in every game too.

                        Rookie Report

Rookie of the Year Already Sealed?

Done and sealed after two weeks. Only way is if Mobley gets injured. Sure Jalen Green is shooting red hot from the field (.592/.633/.900) but Mobley is leading the league with rebounds (18.1) blocks a game at a staggering 5.9 a night. Again small sample size, but again he has done it against some tough competition so far in Clippers, Lakers, and the Western Conference Champions the Suns. Most people already forgot the Cavs had had the trade for Love which open the door for Mobley not to just but to get 35 minutes a night. Green is at 30.3 a night and closest person to Mobley for minutes is actually Cade Cunningham which the Cavs will see a lot of this year but haven't faced off yet.

Who's the fan favorite for Cavs

The Cavs traded for Ben Simmons which seems like him and the leadership from Ricky Rubio has turned a very young team that was use to losing to a very young hungry team who feels they are in every game despite being down by 20 throughout the game. Sure Simmons is a star, even if he cant shoot outside, but the rookie Evan Mobley has taken the league by storm who has had a double-double every game so far. Sprinkle in one triple-double. Although two games he was just one block shy of a triple-double (Grizzlies and Hawks). Or do you go with a guy who only averages 14 minutes a night, is the tallest player on the court, and almost averages a double-double a night in Tacko Fall. All Simmons and Fall are both 25 years old while Mobley is just 21.

                        Cavs Strengths

Athleticism, jumping ability, and length for the defense. We won't get into the problems of how yet, but for the positive they are just dominate in the paint with help defense as they lead the league in block shots by 6.5 more a game than the next team which isn't that shocking is the 76ers.

On the offensive side they are pushing it more than any team of the Cavs in the past two decades right now in the first two weeks with 106.3. The highest for the season came in 2017/2018 season where it was 98.9. With that pace they are second in the league in shooting percentage from the field, seventh in three-point percentage (although only taking 18.1 shots a game which is 2.6 fewer a night than the Pelicans which is last in a heavy three-point league now, and a respectable 14th at the line with .791.

With the quick pace and the decent outside shooting they have so far you would think that fast break pull up three-pointers would be great for this team. Sadly the team is the worst in the league doing this in which they only made one deep shot this way, mostly get it by the inside-out game. Which taking about this inside out the Cavs have touched teams inside for 71.7 points in paint and 13.3 second chance points which is the highest points they scored in the paint in the last two decades, but surprisingly its middle of the pack for second chance points during that time period.

                        Cavs Weakness

Despite a winning record there is a lot of weakness on the defensive side. Not so much on the offensive side, but lets start with the lesser of two evils. On offense this team despite only being on the average of just player age of 24 years old, they are turning the ball over 14.1 times a game. They aren't even the worst team as they come in at 19th for most turnovers a game, but most of this these turnovers happen at the start of the game which has lead the opposing teams to early double digit leads. That's honestly the glaring problem, other than sometimes bench has a hard time scoring which is 21st in the league with 33 points a game.

Now for the ugly part. With this team being young and while they want to help close out the paint they allow the outside shot a plenty of it. They are sixth in the league allowing 38 three-pointers a night. What is worst they are first in allowing opponents to shoot .496 from deep. The Cavs are pathetic in getting through screens, and we aren't talking about just the pick-and-roll, but allowed a lot of people to get to open spots on double screens and backdoor cuts. Still this is what helps lead them to leading the league in blocks, but also trying to help spot easy points allows for out of position defenders so gives the opponents a lot of offensive rebounds.

Once they can limit the other team shooting from deep, and able to get though screens this team should take off. But again this team doesn't have the best of the defenders. Still they are in the games and do seem to make adjustments to shut them down sadly it takes at least a half to start to make adjustments and then final quarter is when it starts to click.

                        Breakdown by Quarters

                        1st QUARTER For: 186 (26.6) /Against: 184 (26.3)

Despite averaging more points for each quarter, as you know the Cavs are 3-4, but you will see this theme throughout all four quarters so far. Cavs have allowed 24 points or less in four games so far. Only allowed two games where they allowed 30 and one of them was 37 to the Lakers. While Cavs had a little blimp there on offense they only scored once more than thirty points and that was 34 against the Nuggets.

                        2nd QUARTER For: 202 (28.9) /Against: 197 (28.1)

This is the quarter usually where the Cavs start to outpace the other team to try to cut into the lead of the opponents. Only three times did they score the same amount (one game) or less (two games) than the first quarter. Shocking enough the opponents actually went five games where they scored more than the first quarter, although again it would only be two games that they scored over thirty points for a quarter with the most coming from the Hawks as they put up 38.

                        3rd QUARTER For: 389 (29.9) /Against: 325 (25.0)

This is the change in the ball games. The Cavs average more than a point a game over their opponents, but this is the start of the time the Cavs start to eat away at the opponents will. Defense in the paint starts to get tighter and each block seems to just take the opponents out of the game. Only team that didn't phase this and actually did better than the Cavs was the Nuggets as they would come out hot and score 39 points for this quarter. Only two other teams (Grizzles and Lakers) managed to score 30 points for the quarter.

                        4th QUARTER For: 230 (32.9) /Against: 185 (26.4)

Sure three teams scored over thirty points this quarter with Nuggets being unstoppable with a whopping 42 points. Cavs on the other hand only had two games they didn't score thirty points in the quarter. The problem is the opponents try to get back into the game so they start to push the pace and with for the most part locking down deep shots it opens up easy steals and dunks on the other end.

                          Cavs Fans Insanity Corner

Fans always are looking to improve their teams. They got lucky with Simmons sitting out for the 76ers and apparently Lillard wanted out so they were the lotto team to win the draw as the third team in a trade that free with some cap space, didn't have the drama of what to do with Sexton, and of course keeping first-round picks.

Why did we spend so much money on Allen?

Fans think with a 20 million a year contract that they can offer him with maybe a draft pick to getting an upgrade center. Or even packaging Allen with Garland to get a stud point guard that will move Mobley to center and Simmons back to his normal power forward position. The only trade rumor that fans are hoping for is:

What our Analysis say: While the Nuggets could use Jokic at 4 and Allen at 5 on offense, and then flop them around on defense. Garland is cheaper point, but not as good on defense. While the Cavs would love to have Jamal Murray and he is use to deferring to Jokic on offensive end, and could use him on the defense end it is unlikely both teams would want to do a swap especially this early in the year. Murray doesn't want out and Garland is finding his way now with this team. If Nuggets don't do well and the Cavs need an extra push this might be a lot louder during trade deadline week, but for now its just all talk and what Cleveland fans want.

Also its not like Allen is doing terrible. He is right at his average of scoring with 12.9 points and has improved his rebounding to 13.1 a night and is second in the league in blocks with 5.9. So its not like the Cavs feel he is a bust right now especially after just 7 games after signing in the off-season.

Should Tacko Fall sign a new deal?

In just 14 minutes he is a fan favorite as he is tied for second in blocks in the league with 3.7 and almost averages a double-double in just that 14 minutes. Still he has a lot of holes in his game. His offense is terrible unless he is grabbing the offensive rebound for an easy put back. He also has stamina issues and once you pull him out of the paint on defense he is worthless.

What our Analysis say: Why they might want to it depends on a few things. One he is getting paid $9.72 million this year. If he continues this pace he is an unrestricted free agent. Plus his original deal wasn't a four year deal so he can't even resign in the regular season, and other teams might want to pay more for him to be a starter if he looks this good at the end of the year. Cavs only look at him as a bench player and he won't even sniff the starting role so they won't be looking to pay him a lot of money. He might want to stay if the season goes well, but if he gets an offer to start he most likely will be gone despite being a fan favorite here as well as in Boston.

Should we trade our first round pick now?

Fans are loving how the team as played so far and most are wondering should we try to trade our pick in hopes it has high value still and other teams think they will fall back down to earth and be one of the bottom feeders. They heard what trades they could of got before the season and still are hoping that two can still be there which is...

                          Trade 1:

                          Trade 2:

What our Analysis say: A resounding no to both. Bulls love LaVine and he is getting better defensively and is a good shooter outside. Plus if that does happen they will have to trade Garland since he will not be happy being moved to the bench. As for the second trade while it would make sense, and it would keep all the starters in tact so either Simmons moves to PG and Garland goes to SG. Which moves Curry to bench or you trade Mobley (no way) or trading Allen plus Garland. That would be two trades and trying to work on chemistry is going to take way longer than it is now. Plus moving Mobley to center is not a sold bet since Allen does help out make up for his rookie mistakes. Even if both teams would do this it wouldn't make sense for either teams.

                            November Monthly outlook

                            Important Games of the Month

                            Nov. 3 vs. Portland Trailblazers

Why Key Matchup: First matchup from the trade after Cavs first game. Will face off against starters Collin Sexton and would be Lauri Markkanen (who is currently injured day-to-day).

Nov. 7 @ New York Knicks

Why Key Matchup: Cavs are 4-3 after the month and sitting in fourth in eastern conference and a game and a half out of first. The Knicks are off to a fast start with a 4-2 record and sitting in third place one game out of first.

                            Nov. 13 vs. Boston Celtics

Why Key Matchup: Same record as the Knicks, but Cavs will face off at Boston at home to show first true test of the top team in the East and to see how far the Cavs have come at the start of the year and how much more they need to go.

                            Nov. 15 vs. Boston Celtics

Why Key Matchup: Gets a day off from the Celtics and then face off against them again on their home court. This is key to show what they can do as they go off a slumping Nets and Warriors game to finish out the week.

Nice in-depth write up. I agree with you that Cleveland doesn't have a lot of shooters, and even then the shooting percentages weren't bad so if pieces can be found to get the volume up that could be something to look into.

Not a big fan of any of those trades tbh. And surprised Tacko is making as much as he is despite knowing the fans'll love him. I can't see him being more than a Boban-type player on a team, if I was another team I wouldn't give him starter money. 14-16 MPG seems reasonable.

Fan of the trade that I actually did or just the "what if" trades? As for Fall I am surprised he is getting 9m a year on the roster. Don't know if that was a game thing cause if it is real life they are paying way too much for something who probably won't get as minutes as I am giving him.

I know I haven't posted in a couple of days some real life stuff came up. Should be posting here in a couple of days though. sorry everyone.
