Re: Resurrecting the Lighning Bolts: Coach Smith in San Diego

This post will be about roster movement, player retirements, FA, and scouting prior to the draft.

          Roster movement:

I released WR Alan London and signed him to a 1 year, 2 million deal. Re-signing him will be a priority this year, even though his potential has dropped from 96 to 93.

Released LOLB Shaun Phillips and signed LOLB Justin Durant 80/82 to a 1 year, 900K deal.

Released WR Russel Gordon and signed him to a 1 year, 900K deal. I 'll look to re-sign him also if I can.

Released WR Terrel owens, he's only a average WR now.

Originally signed Terrel Hitchcock, but then traded him to the Dolphins for a 2015 3rd. Just wasn't going to be the money to extend him to a LTC.

Signed WR Devin sawyer to a 1 year, 900K deal. He'll make a good 3rd WR.

Received get 85+LOLB from my owner, and trade up during the draft goals.

Got these players scouted to 100% through Draft Intuition, learning first, then potential. All philosophies are Balanced:
          Spoiler

I stayed out of FA except for 1 move- I signed 38 year old LOLB Joey porter 85/86 to 1 year, 5.6 million contract with a 500K SB, met that goal.

          Player retirements:

          WR Chad Johnson-Titans, MLB Brian Urlacher-Bears, LG Derrick Dockey-Bills, WR T. J. Houshmanzadeh-Bengals, MLB Jeremiah trotter-Vikings, CB Champ Bailey-Vikings, RT Ryan Diem-Cowboys, WR Chris Chambers-Bengals, RG Leonard Davis-Cardinals, LOLB Greg Ellis-Dolphins, MLB Keith Brooking-Jaguars, C Andre Gurode-Steelers, WR Randy Moss-Patriots, P Jason baker-Panthers, DT John Henderson-Jaguars, K Lawrence Tynes-Seahawks, DT Ma'ake Kemoeatu-Steelers, DT Kris Jenkins-Falcons, RG Stephen Neal-Jets, RE Jarvis Green-Falcons, K Sebastian Janikowski-Jets, C Dan Koppen-NFL, LOLB Marcus Washington_redskins, DT Kelly Gregg-Dolphins, WR Deion Branch-Seahawks, ROLB Julian Peterson-Seahawks, LG Alan Faneca-Steelers, WR Andre Johnson-Texans.

          IW Workouts:
          Spoiler

          I'll do the draft next.

The single positive thing Jamarcus can do is throw a lot farther than 15 yards.

This will be on the back burner for quite some time; I'm currently running a Texans dynasty with the Michigan Spread and the 3-3-5 defense. I may not get back to this dynasty for quite awhile.

I'm having some success with JaMarcus in my Raiders Dynasty...although if I would of dumped him and got someone else...who knows how well we would be doing.
