                AROUND THE LEAGUE: Coaching Changes

Falcons have fired HC Mike Smith (now the new DC for the Seahawks) and have replaced him with Keith Armstrong

Ravens have fired HC Jon Harbough (now STC for Giants) and replaced him with Romeo Crennel have to say its not a bad fit defensively

Redskins have fired HC Romeo Crennel (now HC for Ravens) and replaced him with General Sanders

Vikings have fired HC Brad Childress (now OC for the Ravens) and replaced him with Rob Ryan

                KC Chiefs Coaching Changes:

GM: Riley Smithe has been driven out by the fans, he has been replaced by Bob Corsetti (hes AWESOME BTW)

DC: Barry Trammell has been leg go (now the STC for the Jaguars) and has been replaced by Pepper Johnson, the Chiefs now have someone who is familiar with the 3-4 defence and has been part of the Patriots staff that has run it well for years

RBC: Kirby Wilson has been fired (now RBC for the Browns) and has been replaced by Eric Bienemy. The first order of business will be to make sure the backs hold on to the football.

WRC: Darryl Drake has been let go, and has been replaced by Marvin Harrison. The Chiefs have a very young receiving corps, and had problems catching the football at times. Harrison a veteran of the league, should be able to help this group out quite well, this can only mean good things for Dwayne Bowe

** OC Heath Thomas will also be serving as QBC

                      Schedule:

The Kansas City Chiefs this season will have an easy schedule this season. Facing only 5 teams with a winning record last season and only 4 playoff teams, the Chiefs should finish the season with a winning record. The Challenge will come from its own division (AFC West) with the Raiders coming off a succesful season, and the Broncos have always been a tough foe, and if the Chargers can get back to their 2007 form this should be a tough AFC West.

                      Week 1: VS Raiders
                      Week 2: VS Broncos
                      Week 3: @ Texans
                      Week 4: @ Chargers

Update: The Kansas City Chiefs have traded away fan favourite and future hall of fame TE Tony Gonzalez to the Bengals for the 29th pick in the 2010 draft and a 2011 7th round pick.

Gonzalez has not been very productive in the Chiefs offence, last season only posting 39 receptions for 318 yards and 5 TD's. It seems that recently aquired John Carlson will be the new starting TE. The Chiefs, or Gonzalez could not be reached for comment, but team sources report that some of the players in the locker room were shocked to hear of this trade.
