    Wow. 11 99 overalls, 14 above 90, and only 3 below 70. That's brutal.

It's all the special skills-every HC has at least 10. An average coach will have 20 SS and fill out the first 2 levels, good ones like Shanahan and Dungy will have 30+.

        2017 Season-Game 2- Seahawks 55, Bucs 34

I got so tired of the Buc receivers jumping up in the air-catching the ball, and coming down with it. I simply hate the Tall/RZ philosophy. It didn't help the Bucs offense was on the field 40 minutes, while my offense was on less than 20. Still, we led in getting TDs, and finally they ran out of chances and onside kicks.

        CU-HC-Improved Catching

Trade-Traded LE Kerry Sears to Dolphins for 2018 2nd.

Wow. I know I could find it, but how is your coach in terms of special skills/regular skills?

It would take a while to find-but-at least level 3 in all development skills, Level 4 in all Intangibles-except kicker and punter.Playcall 5, Strategy 5, Team Chemistry 4, and Performance 4. Special skills-a lot. All the basic ones in the 1st level including Charm, Charisma, and Improved Block Shedding, all the 2nd level except Improved Blocking and Interception Training. I've also got Innovator and Superb Strategist, and got Improved Catching today. I'll be looking to save up for Motivator next.

In my next dynasty(I'm already looking ahead to the next one) I would focus a lot more. Pick 2-3 dev skills to focus on, maybe the defensive ones like Dungy and get them to 5 early. Pick either offense or defense and work on getting the positional skills a little earlier. For the record, it's extremely hard to beat a team that has a coach with Improved Defending. The Giants DC has it and I only had 7 receptions the last time I played them.

              2017 Season-Game 3- Seahawks 58, Texans 0

If I hadn't mentioned it before, Performance is very important. Texans HC Cam Cameron has a 1 in Performance, and it showed on the field. The one thing the Texans did well is shut down the run, but they run a 3-4 and Ray Lewis is their LBC. I did feel it necessary to get Improved Blocking-most likely postponing Motivator until the end of the year.

              Inj-LE Sylven Wilson-bruised thigh-2-3 weeks

              CU-HC-Improved Blocking, DC-Phys Dev DB 4, WRC-Lrn Dev TE 3.

              OPOW-QB Andrew Zito-23-36-336-4 pass TDs.

Not to hijack the thread, but might I recommend the Steelers? They lose too much in my franchises, thy have a good QB for a while, and their DC retires after a few years. Iirc, the rear of their staff isn't great.

Yeah, their staff has decent potential but they aren't guys worth keeping, save for their GM, who is very good. Also,
Looking through their staff, their trainer sucks, yet has ambition.

It would be cool to see you focus heavily on a defensive position, like linebackers or Defensive backs. Their team is also old with a few young guys that are good (Roethlisberger, Polamalu, Heath Miller). It'd be cool to see how you would turn over the roster.

It's a thought. This looks to be the Steelers first winning season in a while, they're currently 3-2. I'd definitely consider them if I were to switch or next dynasty. A lot will depend on whether I can find a slider set to keep the games competitve. I'd like to stay in Seattle next year-Sunday is in the next draft and keeping Zito will look to be expensive.

Our team is really looking to be good this year, 3rd straight game over 50 points. Not really the offense, my team is getting a lot of defensive TDs. The real test is up next-the Giants have won the last 2 Super Bowls.

                      CU-OC-Lrn Dev QB 4, QBC-Performance 4.

DPOW-FS Antonio Watson-5 tackles, FF, 2 INTs, 1 INT TD

                        2017 Season-Game 5-Seahawks- 61, Giants 21

I went to back to my old sliders after this game-the turnovers were just too much. I can understand if Eli throws a few INT, but 6? Only 2 INT the next game, so it seems to have worked. As for the Giants, their defense is just as good as it ever was, they simply have to avoid turnovers in the playoffs-if they get there this year.

Gamechanger-Player misses practice-SS Rico McGee is going to Mexico with his girlfriend and will miss practice and be gone a week.

Defazio Combs last game with Seahawks was one to remember-195 rec yds and 4 TDs.He and Coach Smith were unable to agree on a contract, so he was traded to the Ravens for a 2018 1st and 2018 3rd. There is also a rumor that Miles might be traded-if Coach Smith can manage it. As for the game, the Eagles will go winless a little longer.

                            2017 Season-Game 7-Cardinals 49, Seahawks 35

Deandre Miles fumbled the opening kickoff, and things went downhill from there. We couldn't stop the Cardinals run or pass, and they proved quite adept at forcing turnovers. It got so bad I super-simmed the 2nd half.Coach Smith felt some time with the DBs was in order-he spent some time after the game with them teaching them to intercept passes properly. The NFC West looks tough again this year-both wild card teams should come from it.

I had to gives Miles and Pompey a bigger signing bonus than usual, but I felt it was important to bring them all back. The rumor about his possible trade seemed to bring Miles back to the bargaining table.

Re: Change in Chicago-The Coaching Career of Michael Smith

I was down 24-0 to the Colts just before halftime when I realized-I wouldn't be able to win any more Super Bowls. The teams that have built up their coaching staffs-the Giants, Colts, Broncos, and Patriots-among others have gotten to the point where they'll have a big advantage over me in the playoffs, and I won't be able to catch up before the end of the 15 years.

On the plus side-I've now got a very good idea of the things that lead not only to winning games in the regular season but winning the Super Bowl as well. The human player will have a big advantage the first 6 years-after that you will have to deal with coordinators on the other teams(and some HCs) who have maxed out the positional special skills and regular skills as well. The things you want to focus on early in your career-Performance, one of the special skills sets that relate to your playbook. Power run-the run and OL SS. Passing-the QB and WR SS. a team built on defense-all the defensive special skills, Strategy and Playcall.

I want to thank everyone who has followed this thread and voted on it as well. I will be creating a new dynasty in the very near future and I hope you'll follow that one as well. I'll be using new playbooks-not sure on which ones yet. The next one I'll be staying with the same team all 15 years-it may be the Bears or another team-not sure on that either. After all, the best CPU team never leave-why should the human player. Thanks for following, and I hope you'll follow the next one as well.
