For those interested in European soccer, i am setting up a virtual competition based on the UEFA Chapions League tournament. If you are keen to take part, register by posting your chosen club out of a preset list of 24 in this thread - Virtual Champions League 2005/06
The 'interactivity' occurs as you take the role of your club's manager and make trades and player transfers prior to the opening game of the competition, and then before each game you submit to me your lineups and tactics to use. I'll run all the games as CPU-vs-CPU games using Winning Eleven 8 based on the strategies you and your opponent submit.
It is highly recommended that you have some knowledge of the real life competition and the quality of soccer players involved so that you know what you're doing in regards with strategies and to make sure don't shafted when making trade deals with other 'managers'. The transfers work by either conducting trades with other managers or by signing players from non-UEFA CL qualifiers. There is NO virtual cash or contracts involved as this is only a one-off competition.
We currently have 5 users signed up with up to 17 more spots still available. Teams still available include giants like Chelsea, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Juventus, AC Milan, Bayern Munich and reigning champs Liverpool. All clubs are allocated on a first-in, first-serve basis.
Just make sure you are prepared to go through the full season (each team plays a minimum of 6 games across 6 weeks staring on July 2nd, and a maximum of 11 if you make the final) which requires full cooperation between you, your opposing managers and me (the 'commissioner').

After this there is a two-week trade and signing period that ends on June 24th, a week prior to the opening round.
