The NEW NHL - Jets and Nordiques return (NHL 2k6)

After a grueling lockout that ended in the summer of 2005. A few NHL franchises were hit hard, both the Atlanta Thrashers and the Nashville Predators were forced to look into relocation. A few private investors each bought a team and relocated them to Winnipeg and Quebec City to give the rebirth to the Jets and The Nordiques.

The Nashville Predators franchise has relocated to Winnipeg, as the Jets have been reborn in 2005. With Bobby Hull as coach, the Jets are hoping to enter the playoffs even though they dont have the strongest of teams. The Jets still have a loyal growing fan base and they are estatic that the team is back in Winnipeg. With ticket sales through the roof, their October 5th season opener at home against San Jose will be televised Live on CBC. With the added expansion of Canadian teams into the NHL, the CBC will now feature weekly games with the newly added Jets and Nordiques along with the rest of the Canadian teams.

Here are the list of key free agents that the Nordiques acquired:

      Paul Kariya
      Bobby Holik
      Owen Nolan
      Ron Francis
      Marc Savard

      Cliff Ronning
      Adam Graves
