Dajuan Wagner a Wizard; Atkins on the Way Out?

The Wizards quietly filled a need today, when they picked up Dajuan Wagner, 3 year veteran out of Memphis. Before the signing, the only shooting guard the Wizards had was Antonio Daniels, who is averaging 11 points per game. Wagner is slated to be the backup.

"I'm glad I can get another chance in the NBA. It was hard waiting for the phone to ring, but I stayed in playing shape, just waiting for my chance," said Wagner.

An interesting rumor is also coming out of Washington, involving Chucky Atkins. Apparently GM Mike Snider hasn't liked what he's seen from the 7-year vet and is putting him on the trade block.

When contacted about the rumor, Snider had no comment.
