Game Summary

The Nets had lost this game from opening tip off. Within one minute Jason Kidd needed to be replaced by Jeff McInnis at PG, Kidd started the game with two fouls off the bat and needed some time to cool off on the bench. At the end of the first Quarter the Nets were down by 8 with the score 29-21 The Bucks never looked back and followed the lead of Bob Simmons to down the Nets for their first Victoy of the year.

PREGAME:
The Nets and Bulls are evenly matched tonight, both have two very good PG in Hinrich and Kidd, it should be fun to see how this one works out. The Nets gameplan should be to exploit the Bulls weak post defense.

GAME SUMMARY:

The Nets make it two in a row after downing the Bulls in blowout fashion the game was actually more of a blow out then the final score shows. The Nets come away with this important win thanks to drawing fouls and not commiting many, only 12 to be exact. The Nets were able to shoot 55 from the line and they converted 46. Vince Carter turned it on late in the game scoring 21 of his 38 points in the last 6 minutes of the game. Both the defense and offense of the Nets flustered the Bulls all day.

PREGAME:
The New Jersey Nets come into this game trying make it three games in a row, however this matchup is going to be tough. The Heat come into this game with 3 wins and 0 losses, they are easily considered in the top 5 in the NBA this year and D. Wade and Shaq may be too much for this terrible Nets defense. In other news, the Nets have signed Lucious Harris and have demoted Marc Jackson.

GAME SUMMARY:
The Nets started this game off on fire knocking down 12 of their first 16 shots. and were looking to cruise through the game; this however was the problem. The Nets who had stopped D. Wade in the first quarter to only 2 points let him score 10 of his 13 in the third quarter and James Posey took the Nets defense to school. At the beginning of the 4th quarter the Nets were down by 4 and that was the closest they would get to victory.

Game 4: New Jersey Nets vs. Utah Jazz

PREGAME:
The Nets hope to show off their newly aquired talent that they reveived yesterday from the Orlando Magic. Dwight Howard talked to the press today making it clear that he is here to do one thing and that is to bring a championship to NJ and it starts today against the Jazz. This is a pretty even matchup, two teams that are average to below average.

GAME SUMMARY:
The Nets squeek one out with this one, it looked as if they were going to lose all night untill Jeff McInnis, the player who was part of the Orlando Magic yesterday for 3 hours, then re-traded back to the Nets, took the floor in place of Kenyon Dooling. McInnis was on fire when he scored 10 of his 16 points with 2 minutes to go in the game, he hit the three that lead the Nets passed the Jazz for good. The Nets defense did well against a lack-luster Utah offense.

The Nets look to be much over matched by the powerful Pacers offense and will need to bring their A game into Indiana, without that its going to be a beating

GAME SUMMARY:
The Nets did not bring their A game into Indiana, in fact I would give them a "D" tonight. The Nets had no solution for Stephen Jackson and his perimeter shooting. Dwight Howard, his second game has a Net, not impressive again, with only 7 Reb while playing all but 5 minutes of the game.

Indiana Pacers 108

Although you got Laettner, I think your real problem with getting beat on the boards, was the Nets team in general. Nenad Krstic isn't much of a rebounder... how else do you explain Jason Kidd leading the New Jersey Nets in rebounding during the 2005-06 season?

What I'm saying, is that your problem stems from the big men the Nets have, rather than having too many small guards. Having guards isn't the problem... having Nenad as your starting big man is the problem.

Jason Collins has also been subpar on the boards during his career.

Nenad either has to go, or he has to come off the bench if you are that concerned about rebounding. Dwight Howard is a hell of a rebounder, but honestly your concern with rebounding is not needed.

Your team was a run and gun team with Kidd, but now that Kidd is gone, its kind of hard to keep that going. Carter and Jefferson should be the top scorers every night, and should get to the line 8 times a piece.

This is just a fan's perspective and opinion. It's up to you to try it or not... but if the run-and-gun success is overshadowed by rebounding failure, I would request a trade for a pure rebounding starter, even if he's incompetent on offense... I'm not asking for a Vince Carter for Ben Wallace-esque trade, but try for a player like the Indiana Pacers' Jeff Foster, or the Houston Rockets' Chuck Hayes. Neither player will ever reach an all-star game, but both can pull down your much-needed boards, and won't cost to much trade bait.
