Re: The Boston Red Sox (MVP '05)

New Additions Set to Help Sox

Two key additions, Beckett(left) and Crisp(right) hope to bring the Sox back to the promise land.

BOSTON - After being swept out of the playoffs by the eventual Word Series winners, the Chicago White Sox, last season, the Red Sox had a very up and down off-season.

First, General Manager Theo Epstein left. And then he returned.

Then, there were the "Manny Being Manny" episodes.

Then there was the Idiot himself jumping ship to the New York Yankees.

Doug Mirabelli was traded to the Padres for Mark Loretta. Then he was reacquired for Cla Meredith, Cash and Josh Bard.

Renteria was traded after only one season with the team for Andy Marte...who was then traded in a deal for Coco Crisp, Josh Bard, and David Riske. Bard was sent to the Padres, and Riske was sent to the White Sox for relief pitcher Javier Lopez.

Guitar-playing pitching Bronson Arroyo was traded to the Reds for Willy Mo Pena, who finds himself in AAA-ball to start the season with a wrist injury.

Star prospect Hanley Ramirez was sent, with prospect Annibal Sanchez, to the Marlins for blister-boy Josh Beckett and aging third baseman Mike Lowell. This pushed Youkilis over to first, which sent Cowboy Kevin Milar packing to Baltimore.

And who can forget signing, and then releasing, Juan Gonzalez...or signing Hee-Sop-Choi to a minor league deal?

Now, with all the pieces plugged in, the Red Sox are looking to rebound from last seasons early playoff exit, fueled by a few key new guys and the same group of key veterans.

Haha I just changed the sliders...so I'm hoping it gets better.

I could've changed them ffter the first Yankee blowout but...I mean really...why would I?

The Blue Jay game I just posted was probably the hardest game i've played...I'm just happy they put in Frasor because he sucks.

And yeah...this one looks like it's done.

I just got the red-light...on my normal xbox. Never seen that before but it looks like it finally crapped out.

Might go buy the PS2 version this weekend, since my computer sucks and can't play games...but yeah, the xbox is dead.
