Fun N Gun Maverick Style (NBA 2K3)

    BACKGROUND OF THE FRANCHISE:

82 games season ( Lets see if i have the patience!)
All Star, 12 min qtrs, my own sliders that i posted a few moments ago... Dallas Mavericks.

    Defualt Roster changes:
Added Adam Harrington from a create roster spot.
Added Raja Bell from Free Agency.
Added Popeye Jones from Free Agency.
    Sent Wang to the warriors.
*NOTE: Tariq Abdul-Wahad is over in france and will probably never play in the NBA w/ the mavs again, but in this game, Raja Bell is rated so friggin low! He has developed into a very nice roll player this year, but i cant change his stats now that i've started. In any case, i'm using Abdul-Wahad the same way the real guys are using Bell.

    STARTING LINEUP:
    PG - Steve Nash
    SG - Michael Finley
    SF - Adrian Griffin
    PF - Dirk Nowitzki
    C - Raef Lafrentz

      Game 2

      Game 2: Phoenix Suns (1-1) @ Dallas Mavericks (1-0)

The mavericks played their first home game of the season and came away with a 106 – 92 win. The game, however, was much closer than the final score. Nash and Dirk combined for 17 points in the first quarter and went into the second quarter with a 25 – 20 lead. The second quarter was a maverick free for all from behind the arc, hitting 5 three points in the quarter, but the suns stayed within striking distance at all times, trailing the mavericks 56 – 49 at the half.

The shots kept raining in the third for the mavericks and the D stepped it up a notch to head into the fourth with a 14 point lead, 83 – 69. The fourth quarter told a much different story. The suns finally put a nice streak together and pulled within four with only 4 minutes remaining. After a maverick time out, Dirk Nowitzki came out focused and ready to nail the door shut. He managed to run off 8 straight points, 3 rebounds and a block over the next minute and a half to personally extend the lead back to 12. The suns never got close again.

      Stats to note: Nowitzki – 29 points, 12 rebounds; Van Exel – 21 points, 8 assists; Finley – 18 points, 7 assists; Nash – 15 points, 8 assists; LaFrentz – 10 points, 9 rebounds; Bradley – 8 points, 11 Rebounds.

      FINAL SCORE: 106 – 92
