    Baseball Advanced (Gameboy Advanced)

Yes, this game came out in March of 2002... but I feel like this will be a good trip back to the past, and I will be doing this while I'm not able to get my NCAA 07 Gaming on (mom's watching the tube most likely).

WOW!!! You brought me back instant memories of that team. Stellar with the exception of the error proned Knoblauch. Good luck and i'm keeping my eye on Paul O'Neill.

        Hits

        KC - 10
        NYY - 8

        Player of the Game

        David Justice (2 hr's, 3 rbi's)

        Recap

The Royals bats jumped early on the "Rocket" Roger Clemens, but they only managed to score 4 runs through 6 innings. The Yankees only had 3 hits in the first 6 innings, all solo blasts over the green monster.

Finally getting some runners on, the Yanks were able to score some more runs by David Justice second homerun of the game, and Tino's green-monster double.

It took an effort from 4 different Yankee pitchers. Ramiro Mendoza picked up the win off 2 innings of work, and Mariano Rivera picked up the save in the 9th, by only allowing 1 hit, in which Neifi Perez promptly grounded into a double play to clear the bases.

Mike Sweeney had 2 homeruns in the contest as well.

          Player of the Game

          Mike Mussina (CG Shutout)

          Recap

The game was scoreless throughout the game, but as shaky things would get, Joe Torre stuck with Mike Mussina on the mound. It paid dividends. He struckout 6 guys throughout the game, and the offense finally came up with a 9th inning run, ending the 1-hitter going for Kris Wilson.

He gave up a lead-off walk to Derek Jeter, and then Bernie Williams got a single to get Jeter to 3rd. Tino Martinez popped out deep to Centerfield, to score Jeter for the game-winning run.
