For Fans Of My LIU Legacy New Online KansasLegacy:

    hey guys,

For those of you who were enjoying my LIU/Louisville Legacy I have decided to try something new. Since i have pretty much abandoned the LIU/Louisville legacy in trying to make the Big 14 CB 2k3 Online League the best one around, i will now post up here in a similar style what I am doing with the Kansas Jayhawks in the Online League.

Right now we're almost towards the end of Season 1 and the division and postseason races are starting to heat up. To get an idea of whats been going on look here:

for all the rankings and stats, but also check out the written summary style i brought from LIU/Louisville to the league by clicking on the summaries link it'll give you an ESPN.com style presentation of whats been going on with every team as well as the BigRySports link at the top that has my league articles in it. I hope you guys enjoy it and i'll give you a quick rundown of KU:

    Kansas Jayhawks
    (10-5 overall 4-1 Big14 American Division)
Ranked #2 in the ESPN/BigRySports Computer Poll
Ranked #3 in the Big 14 Coaches Poll

The Jayhawks are coming off a big loss to #4 Oklahoma at home 89-82. It was the first loss by KU in the division after KU going 6-1 over a 7 game stretch. I split the season series with Oklahoma. My next Big 14 test is going to be my home and home with Indiana (10-0) who is #3 in the Computer Poll and #1 in the Coaches and the only undefeated team left. I need a split with them to have a chance at winning the American Division.

    My starting 5:
PG-Aaron Miles - so far has been a defensive liability forcing me to play Hinrich on the better pg's (duhon, Hollis Price) in the league. But hasnt had as many TO's lately and leads the team in assist at about 4 a game.

Sg-Kirk Hinrich - teams barometer. How Hinrich goes KU goes. If he score 6 or 7 points on 3 of 11 shooting Jayhawks lose. is averaging about 15 ppg. If he gets his average more often than not Jayhawks win. Has had some huge games hitting 7 3's in two games and going over 30 twice.

SF-Keith Langford - forced to score lately because of teams clamping down on Hinrich and Collison. In slow down games is a liability as he doesnt shoot the ball well from the outside against the zone. In man defensive and full court pressure games he's been clutch scoring 12-16 ppg. otherwise has been average in sharing minutes with reserce guard Lee.

PF-Wayne Simien - Cleans the glass as the leading rebounder on the team at about 8 rpg. Score on offensive putbacks only. about 6 ppg.

C-Nick Collison -struggled early but has been unstoppable down low averaging 20 plus over last 4 as of late. forces teams to double down leaving shooters like hinrich and mile on the preimeter to bury threes.

    Reserves:
Lee-gets time at sg and sf and siginificantly more time against zones. has had some big games witha season hi of 25 pts

hawkins-reserve pg who is extremely quick. gets about 2-4 ppg in about 5 mins per game. has started or ended many runs.

graves-doesnt play much unless collison or simien are in foul trouble.

We play 10 minute halves for the league and will be moving to 12 min halves for Season two. we are also expanding from 14 teams to between 22-25 and are still looking for more guys. check out my sig and post on the season 2 waitlist on our message board.
