    San Jose State (NCAA '07)

    6 minute quarters
    Heisman

After 2 successful season at the University of Wisconsin, Coach G has decided that it would be in his best interest to part was with the dynasty he was building at Wisconsin, even though he was born and raised there. He decided to take on a real challenge. Many thought that he had gone insane. However, to the delight of the San Jose State University, he was their new head football coach. In his two seasons at Wisconsin, Coach G compiled a record of 25-1, only losing to Michigan in his first season as coach. He won one Rose Bowl and a National Title in 2007. Now, he takes over a program that was 0-12 in 2007. The ultimate challenge.

Recruiting has already taken place and their were signings:

1 3star - left over from inseason recruiting
    C - Nigel Graham - 68 overall

    12 2stars

Ranked as the 111 highest recruiting class - terrible

Spartan win debut of new coach
The first game of Coach G's tenure at San Jose State was a stunning success. He had scheduled old Wisconsin rival Minnesota. "I've never liked Minnesota at all and once I had the chance to beat them with my new team, I couldn't pass it up." The Spartans downed the Minnesota Golden Gophers 41-14. They were led by RS Sophomore RB Derke Robinson who ran for 120 yards with 3 Touchdowns while returning a punt 73 yards for a touchdown. The Spartans now travel to Tennessee to take on the #2 Volunteers.

Vols Use Big Plays to Blow Out Spartans
The Spartans were back to their losing ways with a 59-28 loss to the #2 Volunteers. The Vols returned 2 kickoffs for touchdowns and also scored 2 defensive touchdowns to dominate the scoreboard, while putting up very few offensive stats. The Spartans got in a huge hole and could never come out. Arnold was horribly accurate. He couldn't hit the broad side of a barn with the throws he was making. He was intercepted zero times, however, he coughed the ball up 3 times as well resulting in 2 of the touchdowns.
