Despite starting 3-7, the Raiders turned it around, winning 5 of their last 6, and made it into the playoffs at 8-8. I thought we could have a good season (maybe 6-10 at best, not a good season, but for this team it is.) But instead, we make it into the playoffs and will be playing the Colts in the first round.

      Season stats:

Aaron Brooks: 88.8 rating, 3,073 yards, 21 touchdowns, 7 interceptions, 57% completion percentage, sacked only 28 times.
Rohan Davey: 136.7 rating, 199 yards, 4 touchdowns, 0 interceptions 66% completion percentage, sacked 1 time.

Zack Crockett: 413 yards, 120 carries, 3.4 avg, 2 touchdowns.
Duce Staley: 189 yards, 56 carries, 3.3 avg, 4 touchdowns.

Randy Moss: 74 receptions, 1,145 yards, 15.4 avg, 9 touchdowns.
Jerry Porter: 35 receptions, 499 yards, 14.2 avg, 5 touchdowns.
Lamont Jordan: 35 receptions, 362 yards, 10.3 avg, 4 touchdowns.
Doug Gabriel: 27 receptions, 309 yards, 11.4 avg, 1 touchdown.

Kevin Boothe: 49 pancakes, 7 sacks allowed (Pro Bowl)
Jake Grove: 38 pancakes, 7 sacks allowed
Barry Sims: 32 pancakes, 3 sacks allowed

      Kirk Morrison: 97 tackles, 4 TFL, 1 sack, 4 INT, 2 FF
      Sam Williams: 87 tackles, 4 TFL, 3 sacks, 2 INT, 2 FF
Thomas Howard: 85 tackles, 1 TFL, 1 sack, 2 FF
Derrick Burgess: 26 tackles, 8 TFL, 8 sacks, 1 FF

      Sebastian Janikowski: 29/37 FG's. 40/40 XP's

There was no answer for Peyton Manning as he completed 81% of his passes for 388 yards, 5 touchdowns, and only 1 interception. But Nnamdi Asomugha played great, he had 7 tackles, 1 INT, 2 FF and 1 TD.

Steelers @ Jets, Steelers win 20-15
Saints @ Seahawks, Seahawks win 42-19
Colts @ Chiefs, Chiefs win 17-12
Rams @ Eagles, Eagles win 49-29

        Conference Playoffs:

Steelers @ Chiefs, Chiefs win 30-27
Eagles @ Seahawks, Seahawks win 38-14

        Super Bowl:

Seahawks vs. Chiefs, Seahawks win 20-13

        Pro Bowl:

        AFC 38, NFC 30

          Draft:

Pre-Draft - Raiders need a LE and maybe a DT. They had the 18th ranked run defense, hopefully getting two good players at these positions can help fix that for next year. Another position of interest is Center and QB. Jake Grove didn't play very well last year and that position needs to be upgrades, but we also have 2 other centers behind him, and I don't want to many. At QB, Aaron Brooks threw 21 touchdowns and just 7 interceptions, but I don't know how consistent he can be.

Round 1 - Baraka Atkins, LE, Miami - signed
Round 2 - Laron Landry, FS, LSU - signed
Round 3 - Quinn Pitcock, DT, Ohio St. - signed
Round 4 - Jeff Rowe, QB, Nevada - signed
Round 5 - Clifton Ryan, DT, Michigan State - signed
Round 6 - Josh Beekman, LG, Boston College - signed
Round 7 - Eric Carrie, SS, New Mexico St.

Post-Draft - Oakland got their future QB, JaMarcus Russell ripped from there hands by Carolina, who picked him 1 pick before Oakland in the 1st round. Oh well, I think we made up for it with a great pick, we got Baraka Atkins out of Miami. Atkins ran a 4.54 40 yard dash, and is a good run stuffer. In the second round, somehow Laron Landry, out of LSU, fell into our hands, he is a good all-around safety. In the 3rd round the Raiders selected DT Quinn Pitcock from OSU. He is a great run stopper. The Raiders took a less-known QB in the 4th round. Jeff Rowe is from Nevada and ran the pistol offense. He is a tough QB and has great arm strength.

          Offense:

          WR - Randy Moss

          TE - Jerramy Stevens
          RT - Langston Walker
          RG - Kevin Boothe
C - Jake Grove QB - Aaron Brooks FB - Cecil Sapp HB - Lamont Jordan
          LG - Barry Sims
          LT - Robert Gallery
          TE - Courtney Anderson

          WR - Jerry Porter

          RCB - Mike McKenzie

RE - Derrick Burgess . ROLB - Thomas Howard . FS - Laron Landry
          RDT - Quinn Pitcock
          MLB - Kirk Morrison
          LDT - Warren Sapp
LE - Baraka Atkins . LOLB - Sam Williams . SS - Michael Huff

          LCB - Nnamdi Asomugha

Our offensive line is anchored by two pro-bowlers, RT Langston Walker, and RG Kevin Boothe. Our receivers are very good. Randy Moss will be the go-to guy, and the deep man. Jerry Porter will be the possession receiver. And in the slot we have another deep threat in Bernard Berrian. But our receiver depth goes a lot deeper than just 3. Doug Gabriel is the #4 receiver, and Ronald Curry is the #5 guy. In the backfield we have Aaron Brooks who had a great year last year, can he have two in a row? At FB the Raiders aquired a speedy FB who will mostly be used for passing purposes only. And at HB, Lamont Jordan who nearly had 1,400 yards last season, but he only averaged 3.7 ypc.

On defense there are 3 rookies starting. Two on the defensive line at the LE and RDT positions, and one at FS. Also, Thomas Howard and Michael Huff are in there 2nd year in the NFL. This is a young defense, but I feel it can be great.

The Depth Chart is kindof hard to read thanks to the great auto-editer this thing has.

            News:

Ronald Curry has been traded to the Texans for a 5th round draft pick.

Raiders sign LT Jacob Rogers to a 2 year deal. And we also signed TE Roland Williams to a 2 year deal.

Raiders released QB Jeff Rowe, and Adam Treu.

              Pre-season:

              vs. Dolphins: 17-24 Loss
              vs. Cardinals: 36-31 Win
              @ Panthers: 19-22 Loss
              @ Ravens: 13-30 Loss

After a poor pre-season for Aaron Brooks, he will start the first few games, but if he doesn't perform, his backups Rohan Davey, Andrew Walter and Joey Harrington are all waiting for their turn.
