You have drafted like 11 USC players already.

Is it my fault USC was hogging all the top recruits when they came out of high school?!

"Without a doubt this a great season despite the smearing we got against Georgia Tech. I'm very proud of the seniors who played so outstanding and were my first recruits here at San Jose St. I will say I was bit worried when we played Ball St and Kris Wilson's interceptions problems didn't seem to be solved. He tempted me to pull the redshirt off of freshman Aaron Wright, but I'm glad I didn't make a hasty decision. Kris came on, and just like the rest of the team got better throughout the season and lived up to his potential." - Coach Bolden

"I was pleasantly surprised by the performance of Greg Curtis. He enrolled in spring without a position and showed excellent ability at every line backer and secondary position and even demonstrated some very nice skills at the QB position. He finally settled in at strong safety where he red-shirted and busted his *** for scout team and in the off-season. Unfortuantely he still found himself buried on the depth chart at SS but managed to contribute at cornerback for the season. Curtis is an old school throw back player that brings an outright nasty dispotion to the secondary and gives them an identity as a whole." - Coach Bolden

"This is exactly the season these guys needed and that I needed to give the school something in turn for investing their time in an upstart head coach like myself. This season gives me something to tell the young California kids who wonder what has your school done lately." - Coach Bolden

Re: The Career of Nigel Bolden: Double Life

              Moving Up!

There was much celebration around San Jose today, no doubt in thanks to job done by head coach Nigel Bolden.

"It's a great day for everyone, not just the football players, but the whole school. It took a lot of deliberation, but we've decided to step our game up and move on up to the Pac-10 to play with the big boys. I've dreamed of coaching at a BCS conference and this definately qualifies as one of the best. Our old big dog was Hawaii, not it's back to back national champion Southern Cal."

"The biggest question that the AD and I discussed was simply are guys ability to compete against what is considered better competition and still be competitive. When we turned to the players they wouldn't take no. It just goes to show the fierce competitive spirit these guys have even if they may be outmatched, they're going to lay it all out on the line next season. A coach couldn't ask for more form his guys."

"I don't think anyone doubts that this was a great recruiting class and the best I've ever had here. That is something I credit to the players for achieving more and more every year. I've said before that we had to dominate California in recruiting to win games and vice versa. It looks like that is paying off as we went toe to toe with the likes of USC and Oregon for the best that California had to offer and I doubt you could say we came out that worse for the wear." - Coach Bolden

I'll say right now that I'm extremely excited about this class based on the simple fact I've never been able to recruit over 20 people in ages. Unfortunately, I'm going to have to make some cuts since I only had 19 seniors graduate and no one declared for the draft early.
