Thanks man, I have grown to like them as well. Memphis and C-USA are going through a similar sort of thing with trying to establish their conference's rep. I think I am going to be able to keep this goin for awhile. I wont have as much flash as some of the others but ill try to make up for it with detail.

          #15 Creighton- 55, MVSU- 26

          #15 Creighton BlueJays
          Nate Funk: 9 pts (4-10), 3 asts, 2 stls
Ike Miles: 9 pts, 2 stls
Anthony Tolliver: 7 pts, 11 rebs, 4 blks
Kenny Lawson: 4 pts, 5 rebs, 2 asts, 1 blk

          MVSU Delta Devils
          Alexander: 8 pts, 9 rebs
          Bryant: 5 pts, 5 rebs

Creighton came out and put on a defensive performance that they hope sets the season's tone. MVSU for the whole game made less than 10 shots. At the 9:50 point in the game MVSU found themselves 3-34 from the field. "When we are playing like this we are hard to beat," Coach Altman stated. Nate Funk found himself in an early funk that he seemingly could not shake out of. CU fans hope that as the games get more important Funk can take over as he has been hyped to.

          Next Up: Nebraska (0-1)

Bucky Sampson a 3 star PF according to Rivals.com signed a LOI with CU. Sampson stands 6-8 and weighs a sturdy 230 lbs. Bucky is from Memphis, TN his MUS ball club finds themselves at 9-2 at press time. Bucky is currently averaging 15 pts, 12 rebs, 3 asts, 2.5 blks a game.

              Code:
                            +
              _______________________________________________________________

LEAPING (B+): Bucky has shown the ability to get off the floor.
His ability to finish with a monster funk or change
in mid air to a lay up has coaches thinking about
trying him a bit at SF.

QUICK (B): Sampson has average quickness for a SF, But if he
gains about 20 lbs he can be a very dependable
player in the paint with his quickness.

                            _
              _______________________________________________________________

OFFENSE(C+): Bucky is so-so on the offensive side of the ball. At
the high school level, his size along allows him to
score. His lack of a mid range/low post game means
he will have to try even more harder.

POTENTIAL(C): Sampson due to his size and limited offensive game
to most people will be nothing more than a role
player. Coach Altman feels that Bucky can be a
consistent live body in the post.

                #5 Creighton (4-0) @ Dayton (7-0)

                #5 Creighton BlueJays
                Nate Funk: 29 pts (10-23,6-12 3pt), 3 rebs, 2 asts, 1 stl
Casey Harriman: 8 pts, 2 rebs, 1 stl
Ike Miles: 7 pts, 1 reb
Kenny Lawson: 4 pts, 7 rebs, 1 stl, 3 blks

                Dayton Flyers
Monty Scott: 17 pts, 2 rebs, 2 asts
Norman Plummer: 13 pts, 7 rebs

Coach Altman's Bluejays received a scare from the Flyers out of the A-10. Both teams came into the game undefeated on the season. The rowdy near sellout crowd almost watched their home team pull off the upset over the newly crowned #5 team in the nation. Nate Funk despite an off night shooting, kept firing away and made the big baskets when needed. But there were a few freshman who Coach Altman feels made the difference. "Ike and Casey played very well, but Kenny showed us today why I made him a starter at the 4. Down the stretch he got a big rebound on a missed 3 to give us a fresh shot clock. And towards the end he had a huge block on that Roberts kid which sealed the win."

                Final Score: #5 Creighton-60, Dayton- 53

Next Up: vs #25 Xavier (5-2)
