    Washington, DC - The Hoyas coming off a 2-point loss to #2 Florida played with anger from the tip-off and it was clear they wanted to make a statement. The Golden Eagles were able to keep it close with a 21-17 lead until the Hoyas went on a 22-3 run in the last five minutes of the first half. The Hoyas ended the game with a 21-5 run as well. Georgetown were lead by senior Thomas Jefferies, who will break the NCAA scoring record by the end of the month, with 21 points as they cruised to an easy victory.

        Tulsa, OK - If you would've asked coach Batson before the game if he thought his team could win with four players fouling out and starter getting hurt two minutes into the game and he surely would've said no. The Golden Eagles did just that and managed to sneak out of the gym with a win behind five players scoring in double figures, lead by Michael Sills with 14.
