TNA IMPACT starts off with a vignette of the greatest NWA World HEavyweight Champions of the past. Footage includes Ric Flair, Ricky Steamboat, Harley Race, Lou Thesz, and Dusty Rhodes. As the vignette ends we pan to Mike Tenay sitting all alone at the announcers table.
Mike Tenay: "Welcome to TNA IMPACT! We have an exciting card for you tonight, but my partner Don West is not here tonight, I'm not too sure what has happened to Don. I am getting word from the truck in back, that a special announcement is coming that will change the face of TNA and professional wrestling as we know it. Let's head to the ring for that announcement"
[PYRO/FIREWORKS GO OFF AT THE FRONT OF THE STAGE]
[AC/DC BACK IN BLACK plays over the PA System]
Out of the face entrance way out comes a familiar face.
Mike Tenay: "Oh My God!","What is he doing here"?, "It's Eric Bischoff"
Mike Tenay: "Ladies and Gentleman, I thought I saw the last of Eric back in WCW. What is Eric doing here in TNA? This is the biggest surprise yet that we have had here in TNA".
[CUT TO THE RING]
[CROWD CHANTS....ERIC! ERIC! ERIC!]
Eric Bischoff: "TNA Fans, I want to welcome you to the dawn of a new era. It has been a long road, but this dream started in 2000 when I tried to purchase WCW. I had spent 10 long years trying to build WCW from nothing to an empire that almost took out the WWF."
"You might be wondering what I am referring to, but TNA is under new management, TNA has been bought by Eric Bischoff Inc. Yes, the deal was sealed a few days ago Dixie Carter, Panda Energy, and the Jarretts sold TNA to Eric Bischoff. I would like to Thank them for helping make this dream come true."
"With a new owner also comes many changes to the way that you will all look at TNA. Are we here to compete with the juggernaut called the WWE, hell no. I am here to bring back wrestling which the fans want, and not this wrestletainment or spotfest invasion that we have seen over the last few years. Easy-E wants to make wrestling enjoyable again."
"With those changes come challenges, and with those challenges comes rewards. I would like to introduce our new NWA TNA General Manager: James E. Cornette. Yes, he was under a different title here at TNA before, but he will be known as our GM.
[JIM CORNETTE COMES TO THE RING AND SHAKES ERIC's HAND]
Jim Cornette: "Eric, welcome to the team. Fans of TNA, expect many changes over the coming weeks that will make TNA one of the most watched wrestling programs on television."
Eric Bischoff: "Two final announcements for this week, one Mr. Mike Tenay you are not going to be alone in that broadcast booth as we have found a man with years of experience and he will compliment you well..............fans, let's give a big TNA welcome to your new announcer...........Jimmy Hart."
[JIMMY HART WALKS OVER TO MIKE TENAY AND GIVES HIM A HUG AND PLACES THE HEADSET ON]
Mike Tenay: "WOW! Things are starting to heat up around here. Jimmy welcome back to TNA and its going to be a pleasure working with you week in week out".
Jimmy Hart: "Yeah Baby! The Mouth of the South is here to provide quality entertainment on the action week in week out.
[CUT BACK TO THE RING]
Eric Bischoff: "All of our champions will reamin the same and there will be no vacancies with any of the titles. These men worked hard to earn their titles.
As old talent departs and new talent arrives, make sure to join us next week as we have another huge announcement to make on the direction of NWA TNA".

MATCH 1-Christopher Daniels defeated Austin Starr in 5:56 by pinfall with an Angel's Wings. B-
After the match, Austin Starr ended up attacking Daniels out of sheer frustration. It had to take 3 security guards to pull Starr off of Daniels afterwards.

MATCH 2-Team 3D defeated LAX, Kazarian and 'Maverick' Matt and AJ Styles and Robert Roode in 19:45 when Brother Ray in a Street Fight Match.B-
This was a match in a battle of the best tag teams in TNA. As Kazarian and Matt were heading to the back they get attacked by a debuting tag team, Jay and Mark Briscoe.
[CHRISTIAN CAGE CUTS A PROMO THAT CHRISTIAN'S COALITION IS COMING TO TAKE OVER TNA!]
vs. 
MATCH 3-Christian Cage defeated Rhino in 8:51 by pinfall with an Unprettier. C+
Match was going back and forth between the NWA World Champion and the challenger. It came down to interference from Travis Tomko causing Rhino to lose the match.
