Major League Baseball set to hold first ever "fantasy draft"

PITTSBURGH - On the eve of the monumental "fantasy draft" to be held by Major League Baseball, Pittsburgh management handed control over to a young new general manager, Greg Callaghan.

The draft consists of thirty-five rounds, the first three of which will be nationally televised on ESPN and ESPNHD, where every single player under a contract will be up for grabs for teams to pick. Each franchise will be able to start from the ground up

"It's going to be a lot of fun - hopefully," Callaghan said, in his first interview as the Pirates GM. "We have a very solid plan in place already, and the organization is really excited to get going."

As to what that plan was? "We're going to be young. It's risky, we all realize that, but with this kind of opportunity we're going to do our best to compile a group of very talented young players so we can not only compete this year but for many years to come. The NL Central is a very tough division and we're going to do our best to make a run in the division."

Tune in to ESPN tomorrow at 11am est to see the first few rounds of the draft LIVE!

Yeah...the first four innings were brutal. I had just played online and the swing timing is different and, well...it was ugly.

Santana was even better, thank God. And Crawford is God.
