Curt Schilling was taken out when he hit 2 Batters with pitches

Kansas City, MO -- Curt Schilling's last game and he had a bad day on the mound. He only pitched 4 2/3 Innings and was taken out and replaced by Johnathan Papelbon who was awarded the win instead of Schilling. Gil Meche was awarded the loss who gave up 8 hits and 5 runs. He was taken out in the 6th Inning. Two other pitchers got playing time for KC. Also J.D. Drew and Kevin Youkilis hit Home Runs today. That was only 2 of 5 Runs added on by Boston. Boston goes to 1-0 and Kansas City moves to 0-1. These two teams will meet again in 2 days.

New Pitcher Ivan Easley to replace Curt Schilling
Free Agent Signed, Can He Do Better than Schilling?

He was the best Pitcher when he played College Baseball. He carried Cal State Fullerton
          to a National Championship.

Boston, MA -- Curt Schilling is gone and Ivan Easley comes in to replace him. We asked several players about their thoughts of the new pitchers. None of them would comment. The GM Jeremy Moore thought this would be a great addition but the players are still upset with the owner of him releasing Schilling. Ivan Easley will make his first MLB Start against the next game against Kansas City Royals. As of right now, he only has 2 Supporters. Daisuke Matsuzaka and David Ortiz. We will find out tonight if Ivan Easley is the one to replace Schilling or is he just a Rookie who can't pitch in the MLB.

Mike Timlin came in for the Rookie Ivan Easley but didn't do any
better than what the Rookie had left him with.

The Royals scored 2 in the 1st Inning, then Ortiz and Varitek blasted Back to Back Home Runs to tie it up at 2. Then the Royals took advantage of the Rookie and got more runs in. The Red Sox nor the Royals had scored since the 3rd Inning. Royals win the 2nd game of the series 5-2.

              Kansas City defeats Boston again!
              Red Sox 5, Royals 7

Mike Sweeney blasted a Home Run to take the lead and
took the Royals to a 7-5 win over the Red Sox.

Kansas City, MO -- Last game of the series and Kansas City just walked all over Boston. It looked like Boston had this game early in the game when they went 5-0 but then the Royals made a huge comeback and tied it at 5. Then Mike Sweeney blasted a 2 Run HR to take the lead 7-5, and that would be the final score of the game. Kansas City wins this series 2 games out of 3. Boston moves to 1-2 and Kansas City goes to 2-1. Boston gets set for a 3 game weekend series against the Texas Rangers. Daisuke Matsuzaka will start the first. Josh Beckett will start the 2nd Game. Then Johnathan Papelbon will finish the series off. The Statistics of this game will be out soon as the Officials are uncertain of the correct hits.

                  Papelbon too much for Texas
Pitching Rotation messed up, but it doesn't matter to Papelbon
                  Red Sox 3, Rangers 1

Papelbon pitched for all 9 Innings and got 11 Strikeouts

Arlington, TX -- Congratulations to Johnathan Papelbon, his shoulder must be killing him after pitching the whole game. He only gave up 5 hits and 1 run. He struck out 11 batters. Media has been calling him the next Roger Clemens. The Rangers only run came in the Bottom of the 9th when Michael Young hit a Solo Home Run with 2 Outs. Papelbon would strike out the next batter to end the game.

The Statistics was messed up during the game, these will be placed on as soon as possible.

                  Boston goes to 3-2
                  Texas goes to 1-4

Red Sox and Rangers finish in 12 Innings
GM was thrown out and Mike Timlin took over the mound
                      Red Sox 1, Rangers 0

Timlin pitched the 10,11, and 12th

Arlington, TX -- This game took forever to finish. After both teams pitched a shut out for 9 innings, it went to extras. It took exactly 12 innings to finish it as Coco Crisp blasted a Solo Home Run to put the Red Sox up 1-0. Mike Timlin then had to come out and pitch the last three outs which he did perfectly. Ivan Easley came back from a horrible peformance against Kansas City and struck out 15 batters. Timlin struck out 5 batters. The Red Sox have proved that they can play baseball when it gets dramatic.

Red Sox demolishes the Mariners in Game 2
Jason Varitek hits his 4th Home Run of the Season
                              Mariners 1, Red Sox 17

When will Jason Varitek's luck come to an end?

Boston, MA -- It is Game 2 of the series and Boston is looking to sweep Seattle. So far so good as the completely destroy the Mariners after hitting 5 Home Runs. Wakefield did a good job on the mound, Okajima came in to replace him at the end because he tore a ligament in his ankle, he will be out for 15 days.
