    Arlington Law Dynasty (APF 2K8)

    The Arlington Law

    Gold:
    CB Rod Woodson
    CB Willie Brown

    Silver:
    DE Too Tall Jones
    SS Leroy Butler
    K Jan Stenerud

    Bronze:
    QB Bernie Kosar
    HB Christian Okoye
    WR Rob Moore
    WR Rocket Ismail
    FS Eugene Robinson
    DE Clyde Simmons

The Arlington Law are the newest addition to the All Pro League. The league has been dominated by the L.A. Legends as they are the only team to ever have a perfect 16-0 season.

The Law will rely on kicker Jan Stenerud for their points as they have a great defense that will succeed against offenses that use the air as their main way to move the ball. The Law's offense will be runs up the middle with Okoye and short passes over the middle. With 2 gold corner backs passing will be very tough for the opposition and the games should be low scoring.

    Week one preview

    Seattle Sailors (0-0) @ Arlington Law (0-0)

    Sailors star players

    Silver:
    QB Archie Manning
    RB Matt Snell
    RB Ottis Anderson
    C Jim Langer
    DE Chris Doleman
    CB Mel Renfro

    Bronze
    WR Eric Martin
    WR Steve Tasker
    K Jeff Jaeger
    OLB Bryce Paup

The Law will begin their season at home against a decent Seattle Sailors team. Their offense is head-manned by QB Archie Manning who does not have many strong points in his throwing game but he can take a lot of sacks without his performance being perfected. The Sailors offense is fairly balanced with a good duo at HB and 2 strong wide-outs. Their offense is commented by a strong kicker in Jeff Jaeger. Seattle's defense has a strong pass rush that will put a lot of pressure on QB Bernie Kosar.

The Law are going to have to shut down the running game early and will have to force Seattle to pass on the very strong Arlington backfield. Okoye should have no problem running the ball as he is going up against one of the weaker pass defense in the league and he should be able to put up over 150 yards.

Game 1 update will be posted soon.

            Week 2 preview

            Chicago Beasts (0-1) @ Arlington Law (1-0)

Last week the Law faced a decent team in the Sailors and had a defensive battle throughout and came out late in the game and took a victory away from it. Now in week 2 of their season they face a very strong Chicago team. With Emmitt Smith, Joe Perry, John Mackey and Stan Jones running the offense Reggie White and D|ck Butkus run the defense. The Beasts are a very beastly team on both sides of the ball.
The offense will be moving up the field through Emmit Smith with blocking from gold star FB Joe Perry. The Passing defense of the Law may have a problem stopping Emmitt.

The Law's running game will have trouble moving the ball against Butkus and Reggie white. They will sure be filling all of the holes in the middle. The Law's lackluster passing game will have to succeed for Arlington to be victorious.

Nice win against a tough team.

Go a little more in depth with your write ups for each quarter. All you're doing right now is listing who scored. That's basically just doing the scoring log. Go in depth, like a newspaper or something.

                  Week 3 Preview

                  Minneapolis Werewolves (1-1) @ Arlington Law (2-0)

With 2 late victories at home against fairly strong teams, the Law will have another home game against a strong Minneapolis team. The Werewolves have a very strong running game with Leroy Kelly the man they count on for yards. Combined with that running game is Roger Staubach. Roger is a great QB that can throw on the move and can lead his team to victory when they are down. Kelly is averaging 4.5 yards per carry and is also leading his team in receptions. Rick Upchurch their star receiver has 8 receptions just under Kelly who has 13. On defense Night Train Lane leads the way with 16 tackles and Nick Buoniconti has not been letting runners by him with 14 tackles. Not one player has an interception but sacks have been no problem for this team. Randy White creates a lot of pressure through the middle and the Werewolves can bring in outside blitzes to sack the quarter back. They have 7 in 2 games.

The Law are going to have to have a lot of pass protection to be able to throw the ball if Okoye can not get going. With Kosar averaging 10 yards every attempt the passing game has been no problem for the Law. Woodson or Brown are going to have to shadow Kelly because he has caught a lot of balls for a lot of yards and the Law do not want that happening. The game should be tough for both sides as the teams match up very well against each other.

                    Week 3
                    Minneapolis Werewolves (1-1) @ Arlington Law (2-0)

                    Quarter 1
The Werewolves won the toss and decided to kick.
the Law moved the ball up the field slowly with a good combination of passing and running. Okoye would than take the ball for 3 yards for his first touchdown of the year.
The Law forced a touchback and the Wolves went 3 and out. The punt was still in the Wolves 40 and this gave the Law another scoring opportunity before the quarter was done. Okoye ran 3 times and the final run up the middle for 10 yards scored his second touchdown. Okoye was feeling it tonight. Stenerud than flopped his kick and sent it flying out of bounds to put Minneapolis on their 40 yard line.
                    Score: Werewolves 0 - Law 14

                    Quarter 2
The Law forced Minneapolis to go 3 and out again early this quarter and the Wolves tacked on a field goal. The quarter went back and forth with both teams not getting anything going. The quarter ended with Okoye breaking a 10 yard run and the Law punting.
                    Score: Werewolves 3 - Law 14

                    Quarter 3
On their first drive the Werewolves drove down field easily and were finally held to a 3rd down and a 4th down and were forced to kick another field goal. The Law got the ball back but Kosar lobbed a ball into the air and gave Minneapolis their first interception. Again they would not produce enough offense in the redzone and kicked another field goal. With 30 seconds left the Law gave themselves good field position with runs by Okoye.
                    Score: Werewolves 9 - Law 14

                    Quarter 4
The Law were forced to punt early on but got the ball back on an interception by Brown but were forced to punt a second time. The Wolves had the ball back but gave up a huge interception. Leroy Butler took the ball out of the air and into the Wolves endzone to add to the lead. The next pass Stauback threw was perfect and went 58 yards for a touchdown and put his team within 5. They attempted the onside kick but failed and the Law ran the clock out.

                          Week 4 preview

San Francisco Sharks (1-2) @ Arlington Law (3-0)

The undefeated Law have faced some strong competition at all positions but now face one of the best QB's the sport has ever seen. Joe Montana will be passing and handing the ball of for the Sharks and he should be very difficult to defend against. James Lofton will be Montana's main target as he is very speedy and runs the deep routes very well. Another difficult part of the Sharks offense is their HB duo of Chuck Foreman and Dave Megget. Both players are finesse style runners. The Sharks defense is less scary than the offense but defensive end Gino Marchetti is averaging almost 2 sacks per game. The rest of the defense has not had a big impact with no interceptions and the next highest sack total is 1.5.

The Law are going to have to expose the rather weak defensive line by double teaming Marchetti and running to the side opposite of him. The passing game should also work for the Law as the Sharks secondary has not intercepted any passes or even defended any passes. The defense is going to have problems because Lofton will need to be double teamed and the running game will be very strong. Lots of pressure on Montana will be key but they will need someone shadowing him because Montana can scramble.

                            Week Four

San Francisco Sharks (1-2) @ Arlington Law (3-0)
                            Quarter 1
Okoye made his presence felt with 12 carries for 68 yards. Unfortunatley he could not get into the endzone. Stenerud missed a short kick to the right. Both teams punted once neither scoring in the quarter. Kosar went 0-4. Both defenses are very solid
                            Score: Sharks 0 - Law 0

                            Quarter 2
Another defensive battle with both offenses not doing well. The only exception is Okoye. He put added 7 more carries to his total and now has 124 yards on the San Fran defense. Kosar and Montana are both 2-8 with Kosar having 61 yards compared to Montana's 9. Stenerud missed an early 52 yard kick but kicked a 39 yarder through the uprights later in the quarter. Stuck in a defensive battle, neither team is generating any big points.
                            Score: Sharks 0 - Law 3

                            Quarter 3
Okoye got it going again with 4 more carries adding another 16 yards to his total. Okoye also added the first touchdown of the game as he led another rush down the field. Kosar added another 30 yards with another completion, he is now 3-13. The Sharks offense was held off the board again as the passing game has been dismantled by Woodson and Brown and the defensive line and linebackers have shut down the running game. San Francisco has only 57 yards at this point.
                            Score: Sharks 0 - Law 10

                            Quarter 4
Okoye once again took control of the Law's offense with 16 carries this quarter and he left his game total at 221. Arlington could not capitalize on Okoye's work. They managed a field goal but that was all. The Sharks offense was embarrassed by the powerful defense of Arlington. Montana had his worst game of the year. He only had 3 incomplete passes before this game, now he has 14. The Law's defense has proved to be too much for other teams to get around.
                            Score: Sharks 0 - Law 13

                              Week 5 Preview

                              Denver Cougars (2-2) @ Arlington Law (4-0)

This is the last home game for the Law of the 5 game stand that they are undefeated in. They go up against the weakest of the teams they have faced so far in the Denver Cougars. They bring a speedy running game with Tony Canadeo and Eric Bienemy who can find their way out of jams with their agility. Steve Grogan is their offensive captain, he also brings agility to the offense as he can throw out of the pocket on roll outs very well. The man that will be catching most of the passes is Cliff Branch, a very fast wide out that is not afraid to dive to make the catch.
Denver's defense is pass oriented with 2 star safties in D|ck Anderson and Eric Turner. These 2 men will make it very hard for Kosar and his wide outs to get anything going against them. The Cougars also bring Ray Guy to the table who will always pin the team deep in their own zone and when givin good field position he will put the ball within your 5 yard line.

The Law are going to have to use Okoye to wear down the weak defensive line and linebackers so that the passing game can work. Kosar will need a lot of time in the pocket for his recievers to get open because of the 2 great safeties. Okoye should be able to repeat last week's performance and the passing game may be a non-factor.
