    LOCAL HEADLINES:
--It takes OT, but Bobcats edge out Toledo 34-31 on the road.
--Mark Parsons returns another two INTs for TDs, making case to be the best defensive back of the year in the country.

Ohio jumped to an early lead in the first quarter, 14-0, behind Mark Parsons. No he's not a star running back, or wide receiver, or quarterback. He's the star corner, and he's been a key for success for the Bobcats this year. He returned two TDs in the first quarter.

This lead would be short lived, Toledo scored 21 straight points, into the third quarter. Ohio would tie it at 28-28 with about four minutes left in the game. Each team had their chance to march down the field, but neither could capitalize. No one scored, the game went into OT.

Toledo began with the ball, a pass put them at the four-yard line, in a position to take control of the game. This, however would not be the case. Ohio's D stepped up, forcing a field goal. Once Ohio had the ball, it was a steady and methodical rushing attack that got them into the endzone, and another win on the season to go up to 6-2.

    OHIO:
    B. Bower: 15-26 completions, 162 yards, 2 TD, 1 INT
    K. McRae: 18 att, 88 yards, 1 TD
    C. Nwokocha: 4 rec, 34 yards, 1 TD

    M. Parsons: 2 tack, 2 INT
    K. Luchsinger: 5 tack, 1 TFL
    J. Meyers:
    7 tack, 1 TFL
    T. Henley: 7 tack, 1 TFL

    TOLEDO:
    C. Cochran: 15-27 completions, 2 TD, 2 INT
    J. Parmele: 20 att, 70 yards
    A. Hawkins: 5 rec, 74 yards

    M. Morris: 10 tack, 1 TFL
    B. Church: 3 tack, 1 INT
    J. Grissom: 7 tack, 2 TFL, 2 sack

I like the way your year is going except for those Eagles.

Looking at the schedule, the worst I could go right now is 2-2 for the rest of the regular season, but 3-1 or 4-0 are probably more likely.

OHIO (7-2, 4-1) USES TRICKERY TO GET PAST BOWLING GREEN 34-24

--Ohio becomes bowl eligible with another win.
--McRae goes over 100 yards again.

-- Mark Parsons gets another pick, remains one of the best DBs in the MAC.
--Bobcats to do battle at home against Temple next week.

The Bobcats were to go up against Bowling Green, a big conference rivalry. OU's biggest test would be to see if they could slow down Bowling Green's option loving quarterback, A. Turner.

The game began with the Bobcats jumping out to a 7-0 lead behind a nice HB screen that let Kalvin McRae get in the open for a touchdown. Bowling Green would score a TD, but have their extra point blocked, which would cost them a point. The Bobcats marched down again and scored 7 to put the score 14-6 at the end of the first.

Second quarter, the Bobcats would score again, this time off an amazing trick play. The WR double pass. Nwokocha faked the screen play and caught it and looked up the field to find C. Garrett streaking towards the end zone. He got him the ball, TD! BG would score again, and go for two, and again be kept out the end zone. Bobcats got a field goal, 24-12 at the half.

The third quarter was all Bobcats, finishing the quarter with a 34-12 lead. The Falcons of Bowling Green tried to mount a comeback, but it was in vain. They fall 34-24.

          OHIO:
          C. Nwokocha: 1-1 completions, 59 yards, 1 TD
          B. Bower: 11-18 completions, 136 yards, 2 TD, 1 INT
          K. McRae: 22 att, 101 yards, 1 TD
          C. Nwokocha: 4 rec, 22 yards, 1 TD

          J. Hartke: 9 tack, 2 TFL
          B. Sykes: 4 tack, 2 TFL, 1 sack
          M. Mitchell: 8 tack
          T. Koenig: 8 tack

          M. Parons: 4 tack, 1 INT

          Bowling Green:
          A. Turner: 20-36 completions, 248 yards, 2 TD, 1 INT
          D. Macon: 12 att, 58 yards
          A. Turner: 10 att, 47 yards, 1 TD
          Z. Charles: 6 rec, 74 yards, 1 TD

          J. Haneline: 8 tack, 1 INT
          J. Schaefer: 6 tack
          D. Young: 6 tack, 1 TFL

Ohio runs the HB screen to perfection.

Ohio totally tricks BG with this WR Double Pass

            LOCAL HEADLINES:
--Ohio hosts Temple, ending the game with a satisfying 45-31 victory.

--Kalvin McRae dominates game, on the ground and catching.

--Mark Parsons returns another for pick for a TD, continues dominance.

Athens, OH (AP) - Temple came into Peden Stadium standing last in the MAC, and just hoping to keep it cloes. Ohio was looking for another MAC win, to hopefully get a spot in the MAC championship game, and move closer to a spot in a bowl game.

The game began with Temple kicking off to Ohio, Ohio went three and out, and Temple returned the punt for a TD, giving Temple needed momentum. Ohio got the ball and marched back up the field and got a field goal. They then forced Temple to punt and marched back up the field and Kalvin McRae got a 4-yard TD run. Score after the first 10-7.

The second quarter was all Ohio, with McRae running for a TD, catching a TD at the end of the half, and Mark Parsons doing what he does best, returning ANOTHER interception for a touchdown. Score after the second, 31-7.

Third quarter Temple managed to put up a field goal and touchdown of their own, but Kalvin McRae could not be stopped. Running off and between tackles, McRae busted out a 70 yard touchdown run which would be the play of the game, and another goal line touchdown to put them up 45-17 going into the fourth.

Fourth quarter would be Temple's. They would shut out Ohio, and score 14 points of their own, but obviously, it just wouldn't be enough. A valiant effort, but the 2-7 (1-5) Temple Owls were outclassed by the 8-2 (5-1) Bobcats.

            OHIO:
            B. Bower: 15-23 completions, 180 yards, 1 TD
            K. McRae: 27 att, 191 yards, 4 TD, 6 rec, 44 yards, 1 TD
            D. Carter: 3 rec, 21 yards

            M. Parsons: 2 tack, 1 TFL, 1 INT
            T. Ward: 1 tack, 1 INT
            K. Luchsinger: 7 tack, 1 TFL, 1 sack
            J. Hartke: 6 tack, 2 TFL, 1 sack
            T. Henley: 4 tack, 2 TFL, 1 sack

            TEMPLE:
            A. Dimichele: 7-15 completions, 211 yards, 2 TD, 2 INT
            M. Grigsby: 19 att, 81 yards, 1 TD
            D. Hamilton: 3 rec, 159 yards, 2 TD

            D. Chiavacci: 10 tack, 2 TFL, 1 sack
            A. Joseph: 10 tack, 1 TFL
            W. Bates: 7 tack
            G. Coleman: 6 tack, 1 TFL

McRae gets some good blocking to lead to a touchdown.

Mark Parsons returns another INT for a TD.
