    PHI vs. TOR...Part One

Tornonto would play Philly on this fine Friday night, part of a 'weekend double-header', where these 2 teams would meet in PHI, then 2 days later, head up north to T.O. This was expected to be a good game.

Nobody in PHI was disappointed at all, especially because Iverson lit up the Raps with 35 of his own points, 15 of which came in the last 6 minutes of the game.

Throughout, Carter and Iverson lead their teams into a great battle. The team defenses on both sides were extremely tremendous. Both teams got alot of steals, as Philly had a season-high of 19 steals in this one game.

So with 3 minutes left in the game, Toronto is up 98-92. Iverson is still on fire, and while he is hitting long range bombs, Carter and the Raps are getting easy layups, due to the breakdown of the Philly defense. At 1:30, and the Sixers down by 7, Iverson hits a 3, steals the ball and hits another and gets fouled (How this game ended like this, I don't know). Tied at 7, the Raps fail to convert on an easy layup and the Sixers run the break and Snow puts in a layup and the Raptors are down by 2 with 14 seconds.

Everybody in the gym knew where the ball was headed. Carter calls an ISO on the right wing, throws up a 3 and misses....bad. with 6 seconds left, Carter stole the in-bounds pass, threw up a fadeaway three and....

The Raptors win the game by a single point, due to Carter-theatrics.

Philly goes to the locker room, obviously upset, feeling like God had taken the soul of all of those players and just squished it while the ball was in the air.

Phi will come up to the Air Canada Center looking for serious revenge.

    Toronto wins, 105-104.

    Toronto STATS
    Vince Carter - 32 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assist
    Morris Peterson - 19 points, 4 rebounds
    Alvin Williams - 12 points, 7 rebounds, 5 TO's.

    Philly STATS
    Allen Iverson - 35 points (4/7 3 pointers) 7 steals
Keith Van Horn - 19 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assist

            PHI @ TOR

This was a very unusual game to say the least.

It was a blowout to begin with, despite Allen Iverson leaving the game early in the first quarter with what was reported to be a broken arm.

The Raptors had an extremely bad shooting night, and that's being nice. They should around 34% throughout, while Philly was shooting a hot 51%

Toronto made a comeback, but the Sixers hold them off to go for the win, 88-79.

            Philly STATS
            Eric Snow - 17 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assist
            Aaron McKie - 12 points, 8 assist

            Morris Peterson - 10 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assist

The New York Knicks traveled up to 'Tha T-Dot', a.k.a Air Canada Center to face Vince and the Raptors.

By the end of the first, the game was deadlocked at 26. By the end of the first half, Houston caught fire and Carter was colder than a stone.

Everybody knows that this season lies on the performance of Vince Carter, and tonight was a perfect example. Carter obviously didn't come to play tonight, which resulted in a huge beating from the Knicks. Knicks stride past the Raptors in a 95-78 road game.

                                TOR @ BOS

Toronto takes their injury-plagued squad to Boston,Mass to face Paul Pierce, Antoine Walker, and the rest of the Celts. A.Davis would be benched this game due to a bum ankle, and Nate Huffman, Michael Bradley and Jerome Williams would all play injured.

The aforementioned All-Stars were expected to keep Vince cold, as he has been struggling lately.

They did not do their job.

Neither did Toronto when it came down to stopping Pierce as soon as he caught fire. By the end of the half, after a strong run, the Raptors were down 6 by getting points off of turnovers. Pierce had 30 points at halftime. His average stood at 23.5 coming into the game.

As the 4th quarter rolled around, both teams battling to hold the lead, it came down to who was going to make more shots between VC and 'The Truth'.

Carter's Raptors take the victory after holding the Celtics scoreless in the last minute.

Not mentioned, there were TWO 50-point performences in this game. Carter scored a point more than Pierce, as his team takes the victory.

                                Toronto wins, 112-109

                                Toronto STATS
                                VINCE CARTER - 52 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assist
