JONESBORO, AR -- The Arkansas State Indians has been preparing hard for this upcoming season. Their first game will prove their worthy as they take on the Longhorns from Texas. Texas is ranked #5 coming into this game and the Indians are not looking foward to the Texas crowd. Coach Roberts talked to us earlier today, here is what he had to say about this game. "I don't expect to win against a team with the prestige that Texas has. If we do win then it will be a big upset win for us." Arkansas State plays Texas September 1st at 6:30 P.M. The Indians Blocks Texas' PAT to win the Game!

AUSTIN, TX -- It was very shocking in Austin today. The Indians came in as a huge underdog in this game. Right off the bat the Indians scored a TD to come to a 7-0 Lead. Texas would not be denied when they came back with a TD of their own, thus making the score 7-7. ASU would punt it to Texas who would not get a TD but would get a Field Goal out of the drive instead, 10-7. Right before halftime the Indians drove the ball down the field and scored a Field Goal at halftime to tie things up at 10-10. Texas would get the ball after halftime and would score, 17-10. The Indians would answer back with a TD of theirs making the score 17-17. It was a back and forth game all day. Texas would score again and would make it 24-17. ASU answered back with a TD to tie it up at 24-24. Then it seemed like Texas was going to score but McCoy threw an Interception that lead to ASU scoring making it 31-24. Texas got the ball with 1:30 left in the game. They threw a hail mary and scored a touchdown. Score is 31-30 and Texas attempts the PAT. The Snap is good but ASU blocks the kick and ASU celebrates on the sideline as they know they might win. Texas still needs an onside kick, they don't get it and ASU holds on to upset the Texas Longhorns 31-30.

Memphis Battles Hard but Indians Too Much!

JONESBORO, AR -- This had to be one of the most historic games in College Football history. Records was broken and points kept adding up. The two teams scored a combine total of 157 Points in this game. Memphis would keep up with ASU but after Halftime ASU would take the lead and would not let go of it. Memphis QB threw over 700 Yards breaking the Purdue record of 712 Yards in a single game. The Indians wins this game 87-70, Coach Roberts did not want to talk to the media after the game thinking that we was going to criticize him for what the team did to Memphis. The Indians improve to 2-0 and hopefully into Top 25 Rankings!!
