    Game #33
March 19 @ The Crisler Arena in Ann Arbor, Michigan
    Michigan Wolverines(20-12) vs. Colgate Raiders(17-13)

Michigan, maybe a little dejected from not making the NCAA Tournament has bad 1st half, picks up its play in the second and defeats Colgate 64-54. With this win Michigan will now advance to the second round of the NIT Tournament to go against the Sooners of Oklahoma right back at Crisler Arena March 24.
    Box Score:
    Colgate 28 26 54
    Michigan 28 36 64

    Michigan Stats:
    Jarrett Smith 17 PTS
Deshawn Sims 14 PTS, 4 REB, 3 BLK
    Kelvin Grady 10 PTS
Ron Coleman 7 PTS, 4 STL

    PLAYER OF THE GAME:
    Jarrett Smith 17 PTS

Just a little note-Michigan State is in the sweet 16 and still running but Ohio State bowed out after a defeat in the second round to the hands of Marquette 74-64.

Kellogg must have been surprised that only two teams from power conference Big Ten ended up in the NCAA Tournament.

I would have thought that winning 20 games and being in a power conference would have gotten you a ticket to the Big Dance.

Also, it's not an autobid, it would have been an at large bid. The automatic bids go to all of the postseason tournament champions from the conferences that hold them, plus to the conference champions of those conferences that don't hold postseason tournaments, like the Ivy League conference, for example.

Hey all, I still have my 07-08 post season recap coming, but if there is anything you all would like me to include next season, let me know.

Kellogg must have been surprised that only two teams from power conference Big Ten ended up in the NCAA Tournament.
No not really, more suprised at the amount of A-10 teams(7) that received bids!
