Oregon Ducks 2007: Let's try again

Since the Campus Legend Play calling was so atrocious I am going to play an Oregon Ducks season. Going to see if I can take them to the title.

Oregon had high hopes going in to the 2007 season, and those hopes got a little higher after Oregon defeated the University of Houston Cougars 50-26 in their season opener. The high powered Oregon offense accounted for 468 yards of offense, led by senior triggerman Dennis Dixon's 250 yards passing and 79 yards rushing. Jonathan Stewart added 3 rushing touchdowns and 78 yards on the ground.

Oregon got off to a flying start when on the third play of the game sophomore tight end Ed Dickson got a short Dixon pass, shed a tackler, got a couple of blocks and took the ball 67 yards for the game and the season's first score. Later in the half Stewart would add TD runs of 2 and 8 yards and the Ducks would go in to the locker room up 30-13. Oregon's offense slowed down in the third quarter and Dixon threw a pair of bad interceptions. Thanks to a Case Keenum 17 yard pass to Donnie Avery, Houston cut in to the lead and the score was 33-20 going in to the 4th quarter.

Oregon then exploded for 17 4th quarter points, thanks to a 1 yard Stewart run, a Willie Glasper 41 yard interception return and Matt Evensen 47 yard field goal. Houston would get a late score when Keenum again connected with Avery for a 74 yard td pass.
The Ducks are now 1-0, and face a stiff challenge as they head off to Ann Arbor to take on the 2nd ranked Michigan Wolverines.

    Injury Report:
LB Erick Elshire suffered a torn pectoral and is expected to miss at least a month.

BK, good luck and Oregon is a fine team to play with. Well, maybe because my brother lives there.

LOL. I just hope I don't screw it up. I generally suck with spread offense type teams in this game for some reason.

That's probably because the turnovers in next gen are out of control. EA's way of stifling the spread, I guess.

I'll be following this. Good start to the season. The spread offense is pretty tough in the game but it can still be effective. I like the pics too. They look great!

Thanks, the pics make it more fun imo. I suck at the spread. I get too squirly with Dixon, but I Am working on it. Michigan will be a good test.

As a Trojan fan, it's always tough to try to beat them anyway.

Playing on AA with some custom sliders. I still find Heisman to be too cheap.
