    The Rockets 2007-2008 NBA season started off on the right foot against the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday night at the Staples Center. The visiting Rockets were led by forwards Rashard Lewis and Kevin Garnett. Lewis scored 34 points on 12-20 shooting including 4-9 from 3 point range. Garnett had a monster double double, scoring 26 points and hauling in 15 rebounds. Samuel Dalembert added 15 rebounds despite his weak offensive effort.

    The Lakers were led by Paul Pierce who tallied 23 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists. T.J. Ford dished out 14 assists to compliment his 11 points, and Andrew Bynum also had a double double.

      Korver comes off the bench, scores 20 in win at Utah

      Rockets small forward Kyle Korver was called upon by coach Rick Adelman after the team was struggling to make perimeter shots. Known as one of the biggest deep threats in the NBA, Korver responded by scoring 20 points in the 21 minutes he was on the floor. He shot 7-9 from the field including 2-3 from beyond the 3 point line. Kevin Garnett had another tremendous performance, scoring 26 points and grabbing 11 rebounds.

      The now 0-2 Jazz were led by veteran point guard Sam Cassell, who had 29. Bench forward Pat Burke had a solid performance off the bench, scoring 14 points in 13 minutes.

        Well, my game froze in the 4th quarter of the Portland game, so I had to re-sim the Lakers and Jazz games. I updated the game recaps of both.

          Kevin Garnett led the way again for the Rockets in tonight's win against the Portland TrailBlazers. While only scoring 7 points in the first half, he scored 13 in the second half to end up with 20. KG had 14 rebounds to go along with the points. Rashard Lewis played Robin to KG's Batman yet again, adding 22 and 3 rebounds.

          The Blazers were led by Ray Allen's 21, but had only one other player (Jason Williams, 14) in double figures. Walter Herrmann played well in limited time.

            Ben Gordon had the offensive explosion that everyone was waiting for. Gordon torched the Mavs for 35 points, including 20 in the first half. He was backed by another solid Kevin Garnett performance consisting of 22 points and 13 rebounds. Sam Dalembert added 18 boards in another strong defensive performance. The Rockets defense was able to limit star point guard Deron Williams to just 6 points and starting forward Richard Jefferson to 4 points.

            The Mavs were led by Al Harrington's 17 points. Rip Hamilton and Quentin Richardson added 14 points apiece.
