    Utah Jazz (NBA 2k7)

    Rosters: After Trade-Deadline last year
    Sliders: Radja's SS sliders
    Games: 29
    Playoffs: 3-5-5-7
    System: Xbox

As always I'm going for a realistic dynasty here. I won't be making any trades unless I feel they are completely realistic, which usually means the player I'm trading for has to be on the trading block. If I start to win too many games with these sliders I will find some that are more difficult, or bump it up to HOF. I still have draft classes that I made way back that I will be using as well, so hopefully I can keep this going at least until my 360 gets back in a few weeks.

My 2nd 360 died the other day so I'm forced to play some older games and keeping a dynasty on here will hopefully allow it to keep my attention.

        Bryant Can't Be Stopped

The opening game wasn't pretty for the Jazz. They came into the game hoping to somehow contain superstar Kobe Bryant, but in the end failed to do so. Bryant led the Lakers with 44 points, and kept scoring no matter who Utah put on him.

The Lakers led the entire game, not once did the Jazz manage to come back and get it. The lead was in double digits before the first quarter even ended, and was up to twenty by halftime. Utah came out blazing in the 3rd quarter but that was temporary before Bryant started getting hot again.

"We tried everything on him (Bryant). We double teamed him, put guys much taller than him on them, and no matter what we did he managed to get to the basket and score," head coach Jerry Sloan commented after today's game.

        Jazz
        Deron Williams - 21 pts, 5 ast, 1 reb, 2 stl
        Carlos Boozer - 16 pts, 9 reb
        Andrei Kirilenko - 13 pts, 5 reb, 2 ast
Derek Fisher - 9 pts, 3 ast, reb

        Lakers
        Kobe Bryant - 44 pts, 4 reb, 4 ast, 2 stl, 18-30 FG
Smush Parker - 11 pts, 6 ast, reb
        Lamar Odom - 9 pts, 6 reb, 7 ast
        Kwame Brown - 8 pts, 14 reb

          Nuggets Dominated in Denver
Shortly after they're demise at home against Kobe and the Lakers, the Jazz rebounded well against one of the top teams in the league. They did just enough early to build a quick lead which they would hold onto for the entire game.

"We shut down Iverson and that's what we had to do. He scored his points, but if he was on he would have lit is up for 40 like Kobe did a few days ago," coach Sloan stated in the post-game press conference. Iverson went just 4-22 from the floor, with most of his points coming off of free throws.

Ronnie Brewer stepped up big for Utah in this one. The game was going back and forth until Brewer stepped up and scored 12 points off the bench in the 2nd quarter to help the Jazz pull away for good. J.R. Smith also pulled through for the struggling Nuggets but it wasn't enough to bring them back close enough for a chance to win.

          Jazz
          Deron Williams - 20 pts, 5 ast, 3 reb, 2 stl
          Andrei Kirilenko - 16 pts, 8 reb, 6 ast, 3 stl
          Ronnie Brewer - 16 pts, 2 reb, 3 blk
          Carlos Boozer - 12 pts, 10 reb, 4 ast, 3 blk
Mehmet Okur - 11 pts, 11 reb, 2 ast, blk

          Nuggets
Allen Iverson - 21 pts, 12 ast, 3 stl, 2 reb (4-22 from the floor)
          Carmelo Anthony - 21 pts, 5 ast, 2 reb, 4 stl
          J.R. Smith - 20 pts, 7 ast, 2 reb
          Kenyon Martin - 7 pts, 9 reb, 2 blk
          Marcus Camby - 7 pts, 9 reb, 2 ast, 3 blk

            Bobcats Bully Jazz
"That was NOT a game we should have lost. We went in there with a team that was evenly matched with us, shot better than them, out-rebounded them, out hustled them, and we still lost. Oh wait, maybe us turning the ball over 25 times had something to do with it. We didn't need to lose that game because now we go face two of the top three teams in the league with a losing record," coach Sloan was obviously frustrated after todays game.

Minus turning the ball over 10 more times than the Bobcats, the Jazz played extremely well. In the absense of Deron Williams having a good game, other players stepped up and gave them a shot at winning this game. It was only a 5 point game with two minutes to go, so it's not like they didn't have a chance, but the shots just wouldn't fall. Fisher hit two 3's in the last 30 seconds but by that point the lead was up to 10, and the Bobcats wouldn't miss any free throws down the stretch.

            Jazz
            Andrei Kirilenko - 20 pts, 4 reb, 3 ast
            Carlos Boozer - 20 pts, 18 reb, 3 ast
            Derek Fisher - 13 pts, 4 ast
Gordan Giricek - 11 pts, 2 reb, ast
            Mehmet Okur - 9 pts, 11 reb, 3 blk

            Bobcats
            Brevin Knight - 19 pts, 9 ast, 3 reb, 4 stl
            Gerald Wallace - 17 pts, 9 reb, 5 ast
            Raymond Felton - 14 pts, 5 ast
            Emeka Okafor - 11 pts, 9 reb
Adam Morrison - 10 pts, reb, 2 ast

Jazz Manage to Cool the Heat
Easily the best game of the year from a viewers standpoint. It was close until the very end, and Kirilenko sealed the deal by blocking Dwyane Wade's 3-point attempt to tie it at the end of the game. Not much else to say about this one, it was a great back and forth game and the Jazz managed to stay on top most of the game. Kirilenko led the way again, with most of his points coming in the 2nd quarter when the Jazz took the lead. You can't complain after taking out the #1 team in the power rankers on the road.

              Jazz
              Andrei Kirilenko - 20 pts, 7 reb, 4 ast, 2 blk
              Carlos Boozer - 17 pts, 8 reb
              Deron Williams - 14 pts, 6 ast, 2 reb
Mehmet Okur - 11 pts, 11 reb, blk
              Matt Harpring - 8 pts, 2 stl

              Heat
              Dwyane Wade - 21 pts, 12 ast
              Shaq O'Neal - 19 pts, 10 reb, 2 blk
              Dorell Wright - 15 pts, 5 reb, 2 ast
              James Posey - 11 pts, 6 reb, 2 ast
              Jason Williams - 8 pts, 6 ast, 2 reb
