    RTTS: 2B/OF Duke

SETTINGS: All-Star mode; Default Sliders; Guess Pitch ON (If I select fastball I do not guess zone); Strikezone Off; Hot/Cold Zone off

After seeing a few Dynasty stories, I really want to make mine. For my guy, I'll be picking it up from the end of my first season as we're entering the playoffs in the AA Texas League.

To sum up where I'm at; I've put in a great season for the Rockies AA Tulsa Drillers at shortstop and outfield but it wasn't without slumps. When I first came on I was on the bench role and took about half the season to earn my starter role for the Drillers. Once I gained the spot, I never looked back and did everything possible to help the team.

    Code:
    2008 Season Stats
    [U]Games[/U] [U]AB[/U] [U]AVG[/U] [U]Hits[/U] [U]HR[/U] [U]RBI[/U] [U]SLUG %[/U] [U]SB[/U] [U]FIELD %[/U]
    90 359 .395 142 21 90 .676 68 .980

Lead in HR's, RBI's, SB, and Triples (6)
I'll post the AA playoff tree and each game recap for my games. For next season, since I'm a positional player and see alot of games I may do a weekly recap. Any suggestions I'd appreciate it!

9/3/08 Game 1 of TL North Playoffs

      9/3/2008

      PITCHING MATCH-UP
      John
      Koronka

      Tyler
      Herron

      0-0W-L0-0
      0.00ERA0.00

What to watch for: Can the Tulsa Drillers pitching staff maintain dominance in the playoffs.

Tulsa, Ok - Much of the hype coming into the playoffs for the Texas League North division was focused on Springfield Cardinals and what they have accomplished during the regular season.

The other main story coming into Game 1 was Aaron 'Duke' Vrbas the promising shortstop for the Tulsa Drillers. Ending the season on a high note by leading in homeruns, RBI's, stolen bases and triples, Vrbas said in the clubhouse that he was not worried about the game ahead against the Springfield Cardinals.

Duke silenced the critics by battling with sinker ball pitcher Herron in his first at bat, pushing the count to full before ripping a double down the left field line.

Bottom of the first the Cardinals would score two runs but the Drillers would come back in the fourth to get ahead 3-2 with the help of Vrbas' RBI double and Gaetti's two-run double.

The damage was done, Herron was removed in the fourth inning as four more runs would score in favor of the Drillers. Duke would finish the night 3 for 5 with 1 RBI.

In the TL South, Roughriders would win a close game against the Hooks in a 2-1 decision. The interesting fact from this game; Roughriders outhit the Hooks 10 hits to 2

Game 2: Victor Zambrano (R) VS. Adam Ottavino (R)
Watch to watch for: Zambrano coming off a stellar season losing only 2 decisions all season is expected to remain dominant. Vrbas did very well against Herron and his sinker, can that carry over into the next game.

      Drillers 0 0 0 7 0 0 0 2 0 9 12 1
      Cardinals 2 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 2 8 1

      W: Koronka 6.0 Innings, 6 hits, 5 strikeouts, 2 runs
      L: Herron 3.2 Innings, 7 hits, 3 strikeouts, 7 runs

      Aaron Vrbas: 3 for 5 (2 doubles, 1 single) 1 RBI

Vrbas' RBI double would help kickstart the Drillers in their 9-2 win in Game 1

Any tips/suggestions would be much appreciated. Hopefully readers will enjoy my RTTS.
*I'll probably be messing around with the look/feel of the article and use Dynasty Manager tables to help..hopefully I get it dialed in so its easy to post

With the 2009 season, I wanted to see what people thought about how to go about posting for my RTTS shortstop. I was thinking once a week or possibly posting an article everytime I finish my advancement goals (1 month or 6 series).

                    Any thoughts would be great

I'd say a goals summary at the end of each session. Maybe a write up for any big personal games. I really enjoy reading your quick write ups.

                          Thanks guys! I appreciate it.

Goose- I was thinking of doing a writeup after finishing a goal session. The other option I was toying with was doing 1 article page per series/at the beginning of a new series. I'll probably try the 1 series article and if thats too much then every 6 series it'll be.

You are doing great just the way it is so far. You could probably put in a blurb on each goal sessions and how well you do in meeting the goals.
If you can read this, thank a teacher. If you can read this in english, thank a soldier.
