Began playing competitive basketball as a HS Junior. Started on varsity as a senior and at times dominated like Kobe. However he was very inconsistent and had games where he scored under 5 points. Attended the same HS as Jon Scheyer at Duke and bears a striking resemblance to him. Has decided that he will only commit to a school that will also offer his friend Hank Jones (6ft 11 C, 2 Star Prospect) a scholarship. Could end up playing in the NBA but also could end up being a college basketball bench warmer. Only time will tell with this kid.

ESPN News: Colgate Basketball officials have announced today that they have decided to remove themselves from the Patriot League and drop out of college basketball. Replacing them will be Chicago College, a college that strangely had just been founded 6 days ago. Chicago College has decided to take 8 of Colgate's players as well as sign 4 of their own guys. 2 of the recruits they signed are Mike Redick and Hank Jones, local recruits who were planning on playing JUCO ball this year because no one wanted Mike enough to offer Hank a scholarship.

              Mike Redick Journal- First Game

Wow, our first game was insane, but we managed to knock off Monmouth 54-52 at home. I did pretty good scoring the ball, I led both teams with 16 points. However my real contribution came when i drove the lane and found my teammates open which resulted in me getting 8 assists. I almost lost it for us on the defensive end though, the 2 guys i guarded combined for 18 points. And I almost let them tie it at the buzzer! With 10 seconds left my guy beat me back door but blew a wide open layup! Man I feel lucky. I have to step it up on the defensive end if I want to keep playing. BTW, Roemer was huge today with 13 pts and Jones had 8 pts and 6 boards.

"You will probably gain more strength as you get older, Mr. Redick, and so will your experience as you get accustomed to college life. It is your lack of defensive skills that probably didn't look too promising to the coaches at the top programs. Good luck to you at Chicago College and I expect you to work as hard to get a good education for the future as you do on improving your basketball skills." - Coach Bob Knight

                    Mike Redick Journal- 2nd Game

Well game 2 was just as intense as game 1. We lost to Canisius 80-77 in a double OT thriller. DANG! I had the best game offensively I have ever had, by getting a triple double! Yes that is right, a triple double! I had 19 points, 11 assists, and 11 rebounds. However my defensive woes continued. My man had 43 points. Don't laugh, I'm serious. I suck. Oh well, on to 100 Club Classic. Hopefully we can take home the trophy.

                    Other notable stats

                    Roemer- 32 pts
                    Jones- 16 pts, 12 reb
                    Green- 5 ast
