    Scott Sauerbeck
    Matt Karnes
    Mike Williams

    Lineup

    Brian Giles, CF
    Randall Simon, 1B
    Craig Wilson, RF

I got rid of Young and Meares , Tavarez because theyre salary hogs. Signed Lee for 9 Bp for 3 years, and signed sanders for 17 Bp for 3 years also. Keeping Suppan and his contract just for insurance in case anyone gets injured. I still have 57 Bp to play with. I improved from a 79 to an 82 overall.

Rumors are swirling the clubhouse how Manager Terry Crouch and Pirates management are aiming to trade for Miguel Tejada out of Oakland. Tejada reportedly will not be re-signed by Oakland in the off-season and Oakland wants at least Randall Simon and Tony Alvarez, 2 major contributors to the pirates success this season. The Pirates General Manager has made recent moves to bolster the minor league situation and has said that there could “possibly be more moves made down the road”. Just recently, the 2 New York teams have swapped second basemen, Alfonso Soriano for Roberto Alomar.

Another big trade has rocked the world of baseball. Oakland A's GM was willing to trade away players that were dragging his team down, and he made a blockbuster move. He sent P Tim Hudson and Shortstop Miguel Tejada to Texas for Hank Blalock,Rusty Greer and Jeff Zimmerman. Oakland then went ahead and signed Starting pitcher free agent Chuck Finley, and brought RF Jason Grabowski up to the majors. "We needed an offensive punch and we feel like we've aquired that in Rusty Greer....It's a a shame we had to let Tim and Miguel go, but we needed to because that's just the way baseball goes"

Extended RF Craig Wilsons contract (4 Years, 14 BP) (67 BP Remaining)

Traded P Brian Boehringer to Toronto for P Brian Bowles and RF Rob Ryan

Brought up P Jeff Suppan to Majors (MRP)

                        Budget: 77 BP Remaining

The feeling around Management is this team is performing above average and are trying to tie up some of the players that have been leaders this year so far to more long term contracts. Wilson, who has been great at the plate, behind the plate and in right field was rewarded with a nice contract. The GM said "There has been more talks with numerous players about extensions, except for P Luis Castillo who is a free agent at the end of the season and wants to test the free agent market." Asked if he was surprised the Oakland/ Texas trade he replied swiftly and said "Shocked".

Looks like your dynasty is going really well. Glad you kept Randall Simon as he is my favorite player in baseball because I used to watch him all the time down here in Richmond. Good Luck for the rest of the season.
