The Playoffs will not be played cause this dynasty had officially hit rock bottom. Unless StarKing wants to do something with it.

The Penguins came so close to the Stanley Cup, but came up short in the semi-finals to a Game 7 lost to the New Jersey Devils. The Devils went on to lose in the Confrence Finals, so the Ottawa Senators went on to win their first ever Stanley Cup.

Ryan Shannon and Matt Petinger return to Canucks.
The Penguins failed to re-sign brother of the Head Coach Ryan Shannon and 3rd liner Matt Petinger. Both players returned to the Vancouver Canucks, where they originally started off before arriving in Pittsburgh from a trade early in the season.

Georges Laraque returns to Penguins
The Pittsburgh Penguins were looking for a right-winger to replace Matt Petinger, who left earlier this year. Georges Laraque, a former Penguin was traded to the Edmonton Oilers early in the season and ended up on the Ottawa Senators, where he won his first ever Stanley Cup.

Sergei Gonchar wants out from the Penguins.
The Penguins Asistant Captain Sergei Gonchar has decided he does not want to return to the Pittsburgh Penguins for the 2008-2009 season. He annouced that he wishes to play with a shoe in for the Stanley Cup. The Pittsburgh Penguins got Sergei Gonchar out of free agency. Before his Pittsburgh Penguins days, Sergei Gonchar played for the Washington Capitals, a rival of the Penguins.

Dany Sabourin follows Gonchar to leave Penguins.
The Pittsburgh Penguins second backup goaltender Dany Sabourin has decided to follow Sergei Gonchar's path and leave the Pittsburgh Penguins. In an press confrence Saboruin was heard saying "I want to play in the NHL, not watch players supposidly doing my job for me". Sabourin is wanted by four different teams, Montreal, Tampa Bay, Vancouver and Calgary.

Jarkko Ruutu and Ryan Malone decide to leave the Penguins.
Jarkko Ruutu, the Penguin pest and Ryan Malone, the Penguin Power Forward have decide to leave the Pittsburgh Penguins. Ryan Malone and Jarkko Ruutu have played either on 2nd, 3rd and 4th lines. Both were heard saying that they've want to have more chances to show the world to score and play in the NHL and become Elite threats.

Two Penguins to take part in 7 round Canada vs Russia.
Sidney Crosby, the Captain of the Pittsburgh Penguins has been brought into Team Canada to play for the Team Canada. Sidney Crosby has been put on the 3rd line. Evgeni Malkin, the Pittsburgh Russian sensation has been named to play for Russia. His line number has yet to be named by press or the Russian team.
