I see Ben Sheets was very Un-Ben Sheets like today.

Glad to see Gagne pitched realistically though.

Brewers lead 1-0 until ninth, Salomon Torres gives up 2 for Cubs successful comeback. The Brewers are realing right now after two very discouraging 2 games at Wrigley Field

        Darkeagle Reporting - 04/02/08
GM John Shell was on his feet about to leave his suite during the bottom of ninth inning, about to relish in his first big league win as a GM. However, the Chicago Cubs had other plans as they knocked out 2 hits and garnered 2 walks to comeback from the 1-0 deficit and defeat the Brewers 2-1.

"Sparky" would have gotten tickets to some of the games for the Brew Crew as well as (Marino's) Phillies but they want to cut the expenses in Cincinnati and produce a profit. He'll just have to purchase a ticket or two on a monthly basis.

Suppan pitched a good game but unfortunately, Torres pitched pretty badly as the team lost.

BREWERS TAKE WASH UP GAME 3-1. ROOKIE PITCHER MANNY PARRA GOES 6 1/3 GIVES UP ONE RUN. OFFENSE IS STILL STRUGGLING.

Prince finally got an average after hitting a 2-run homerun
in the top of the seventh inning.

            Darkeagle Reporting - 04/03/08
The Brewers notched their first win on Thursday 3-1 over the Milwaukee Brewers. After both teams went scoreless through six, J.J Hardy and Prince Fielder hit homeruns in the top of the 7 inning to seal the deal for the Brewers, who only had 3 hits. On the mound Rookie pitcher Manny Parra was outstanding, going 6+, giving up 1 run and striking out seven.

Things looked promising at first for the Brewers who just could not manage a hit or run off of tough starter Jonathan Sanchez after the 1st inning. New GM John Shell is expecting these hitting woes to be fixed, especially if you are Corey Hart or Prince Fielder. The Brewers drop to 1-3 now with this loss.

The Milwaukee Brewers must have listened to GM John Shell's minor verbal threat yesterday as they came out looking much, much better in a 4-2 win over the Giants. On a negative note for the Giants, they lost starter Kevin Correia in the 3rd inning with an injury. Details on the injury will be released at a later date. Milwaukee is now 2-3.

MOM, IMO, is much better than playing because it allows the player's attributes to decide what happens on the field and not the human player's "thumb jockeying". That in itself makes it more realistic.

Another hard fought victory brings the Brewers back to .500 early in the season. Good pitching and timley hitting sparked this win as Jason Kendall had the go ahead double in the 8 inning! Taking 2 from the Giants was huge as the Brewers now get a day to rest and then welcome the Reds in a 3 game series at Miller Park!
