        Thanks for the reply.

I figured that since SJ had put "Ricky Bobby" in a journal, that I figured what the heck. Might as well add professional wrestling along with NASCAR and the others. And by posting the play-by-play, or blow-by-blow in this case, it gives the reader a feeling of being at the arena watching the match. It's been my MO to give the readers the feeling of actually being at the sporting event watching it happen.

Is there any pro wrestler that may be a favorite of yours that was around at this time that you would like followed that isn't already?

It was awesome reading through and seeing all of those old names from the 70's and 80's.I hate to say it,but wrestling was way better then than it is now.Personally,I was a big Tony Atlas fan when I was a kid.I can still remember when Tony and Rocky Johnson took down the Samoans to win the WWF tag titles....good stuff.

"Mr. USA" himself, eh. A member of the "Soul Patrol" tag team with the Rock's dad, Rocky Johnson. From what I heard, he was as dumb as a pile of rocks. I'll add him to my list of followed wrestlers.

Back then I was a big Superstar Billy Graham and Grand Wizard fan.

The whole WWF during Bob Backlunds reign was really cool, you had Killer Kahn,Andre the Giant and Big John Stud battling it out for big guy supremecy, you had the great tag teams like,The Samoans,Tony and Rocky,The Moondogs,Mr Fuji and Mr Saito, the Strongbows,Jay and Jules....Tony Garia and Rick Martell. And of course all of the headliners like George The Animal Steele,Billy Graham,The Iron Shiek,Ivan Putski,Ivan Koloff,Greg Valentine,Jimmy Snuka,Don Muraco,SD Jones,Adrian Adonis,Pedro Morales,Bob Backlund,Cowboy Bob Orton,Blackjack Mulligan(do you remember the big red censored sign they would put up when Mulligan would do the claw?.You got me all reminiscent now.......Jeesh

My family has been pretty lucky when it came to meeting wrestlers. My brother Mike met King Kong Bundy in a small convience store in Bristol, RI a bunch of years ago. When my brother Tony was a kid, my dad had the local promoter take him into the locker room to meet a couple of wrestlers, Stan "The Man" Stasiak and High Chief Peter Maivia, Rocky Johnson's father-in-law & The Rock's grandfather. I was able to meet "Classy" Freddie Blassie. I met him when I was in high school and he was a good friend of my british literature teacher. Mr. Blassie told me that professional wrestling was 95% fake. Now, I think, it is now close to 98%. (some of the injuries are real.)

My dad, when he was younger, used to set up the ring at a small local arena and became friends of the local promoter in North Attleboro, MA.
