Re: Vanderbilt Commodores (NCAA 2009)
Good luck man, I'm doing a bad school in a tough conference too in Minnesota. It will be tougher to recruit at Vanderbilt though.WUSTL -
Re: Vanderbilt Commodores (NCAA 2009)
Recruiting right now looks like be a HUGE challenge. Not only am I competing with big brother Tennesee but virtually any SEC can come in and get my targeted guys.Comment

A) Good luck
B) Make some type of canvas color for your layout. Choose a subtle background IMHO to just make it stand out from the white background of OS naturally. I can't tell where the pic starts/ends.
- An option: Make a rectangle (it's on the left of Fireworks). Steps:
* Make a rectangle...make it small
* Cut then copy all the items on your layout except the rectangle so you make sure the rectangle will not cover up your items
* Make the rectangle the size of the canvas, I'd give it a border as well. Also give it some color.
C) If you wanted, feel free to use this sample layout I made. It's a .png so you can edit all the stuff. You can obviously alter it to your liking. With this you can also see how I made stuff. It's not that hard but the initial creation is a little tedious.

Do you know why it looks blurry until you click on the pic and it opens in a new window?Comment

Re: Vanderbilt Commodores (NCAA 2009)
Position Change:
SR HB Jared Jennings has been moved to FB.
FR HB Jaimie Doyster will now receive the bulk of the carries with Jared Hawkins backing him in spot duties.
Jennings was just too slow (85spd) to cut it. If he had a hard time breaking runs vs bottom OOC teams there is no way he would cut it in the SEC. He will still receive carries, especially around the goalline but his role will be more of a pass-catching FB, ala Brian Leonard from Rutgers a few yrs back.
Doyster has the speed(91) to stretch the defense which is something I haven't had too much of so far. He's a scat-back who will see most of his carries come on draws, stretches, tosses, etc...Comment

Re: Vanderbilt Commodores (NCAA 2009)
everyone always says how easy 09 is and it is too some extent. But this Vandy team is Slowwwwwwwww. My fastest WR is an 87 I believe and my pre-season starting HB was an 85. Even scrub squads like Idaho have faster skill players.
It's going to come down to recruiting and pulling off an upset here & there. The way things are going, its not looking good.Comment

Re: Vanderbilt Commodores (NCAA 2009)
This one hurt me fellas. We had Ole Miss and played great defense for 59mins & 50 secs. 1-3 with Auburn, UF, UGA, Tenn left to play is pretty daunting. That's more than likely 4 more losses making a bowl bid something of a longshot right now.
I just looked at my team's goals before the season and they were a bit absurd.
#1 Bowl Bid - reasonable since you only need 6 wins but still haven't been to a bowl since 1982 and only 3 EVER.
#2 Beat Tennessee- Beat them 2 times since 1992 ('92 &'04).
#3 Beat UGA - 2 wins since '94. Not to mention they're #1 in the country.Comment
