Re: Trade dealine, Raptors make a final move

Nice chise man. Very realistic. Did you change any players ratings? And if it isn't too much of a hassle, could you tell me the Suns record and Amare Stoudemire's ratings and stats. If you cant, its no problem. Good luck the rest of the season.

Who is AD? Raptors cruise to victory against CHI

          TOR @ CHI

The Toronto Raptors lost Antonio Davis last Friday after the Phoenix game (Torn LCL). Tonight, they will truly test their strength as a club, and will see how they will play the rest of the season. It all comes down to this game. With heavy hearts, the Raptors know that their season could lie upon this game.

To begin the game, the Raptors dominated the inside, which was a concern as soon as the lost AD. Chicago couldn't get anything going in the paint.

Newly acquired Aaron McKie (via trade) stepped up and showed that he could thrive in the Toronto system. McKie and Norris combined for 18 assist, and 2 turnovers in the game. McKie wasn't the only one stepping up, however.

The Raptors pretty much cruised in this game, getting help from Jelani McCoy (14 points, 7 rebounds) and Jerome Williams (11 rebounds). Carter did his usual days work, and scored 34 points, along with 5 boards.

The Bulls didn't play a lick of defense all game long, and got beat 112-101 .

          Toronto STATS
          Aaron McKie - 16 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assist
Moochie Norris - 4 points, 12 assist (season high)
          Vince Carter - 34 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assist, 4 blocks

          Chicago STATS
          Jay Williams - 8 points, 9 assist
          Jalen Rose - 21 points
          Eddy Curry - 11 rebounds

Good luck the rest of the way, you're gonna need it now..

Lenny Wilkens shuffles the lineup once more...

After the Chicago game, Lenny Wilkens decided he'd go with a different lineup.

"Id rather have Jerome coming off the bench, so that he can bring his energy when we've hit the wall in the middle of the game. When he comes in the game, he gives us that surge we need, and I feel that he'll continue to strive playing off the bench", said Wilkens

pg - Moochie Norris - He'll stay here. Word was that the newly acquired Aaron McKie would take his spot, because he's taller, and a better defender, but Moochie will stay here because he knows the offense perfect, after coming here in December. Very quick point guard that scores in streaks

sg - Raja Bell - Everyone was surprised to hear that Raja Bell would get the nod as the new, starting 2-guard. Solid defensively, and can get to the basket and draw fouls on the offensive end of the floor.

sf - Vince Carter - Carter will move to the forward spot, so he'll be responsible for grabbing a few more rebounds. His scoring will most likely remain, but he'll be seeing more touches, now that he is the ONLY offensive threat on the floor.

pf - Eddie Griffin - A little undersized at the power forward position, but as long as the Raptors play good team defense, he'll be alright. Good shotblocker, and with his potent outside shot, he'll cause problems for opposing power-forwards. Also quicker than most power-forwards.

c - Jelani McCoy - Has played consistent all year long. Hasn't been asked to do much, other than grab a few boards and use up his 6 fouls. Now that AD is gone, he'll have to hit the boards a lot harder (7 boards last night against Chi) and consistenly.

                  Bench Notables

Aaron McKie - Brings veteren floor leadership. He will see a lot of playing time on the court at the 2-guard, playing behind Raja Bell. McKie fills up the stat sheet, and lets the game come to him. Very rarely will he force shots.

Jerome Williams - Immediate spark plug for this team on BOTH ends of the floor. He will do anything for his team. Takes charges on the defensive end, crashes the boards relentlessly on the offensive end. A fan favorite that will be appreciated
