Michigan Football

I will be attempting to bring the glory back to Michigan football with a little twist to it. I always lose interest in a dynasty fairly quickly so to help this time I will be focusing on rewriting the record books with Sam McGuffie. I will keep on updated list of the records every 3 or 4 games to track his progress and move up the all time lists.

After the first game I now see that Michigan has 2 glaring weaknesses: defense and QB. Utah was able to go right down the field on most series but just turned the ball over or missed a FG in the end. Steven Threet is just too slow to play QB in this system that needs a quick QB in order to effectively run the option at times.

McGuffie went down for 2 quarters early on but Carlos Brown was able to come in and pick up the slack. I am hoping that McGuffie's injury is not something that will hamper him the rest of the season. He did finish the game with decent stats as he had 104 yards on 16 carries and his first career TD on a 26 yard run in the 4th to seal the game.

Fresno St was overmatched from the start. My D actually showed up to play and surprisingly well the entire game. McGuffie has his best game of his career so far with 211 yards and 2 TDs to go along with 80 yards rec and a TD. I moved up to #25 before the game.

This game was alot closer than I expected as ND came to play led by James Aldridge with 105 yds and 2 TDs. I could not really get anything going the entire game. McGuffie played decent until he went out in the 4th with a pinched nerve. The bright side was that Carlos Brown came in and played terrific scoring the game winning TD with :04 remaining.

So far so good I am just worried about McGuffie being injury prone as he has missed time in 2 of the game so far.

Juice and Benn for both out for the game so my D was able to hold the fighting Zooks down. McGuffie had a huge game with 202 yds and 3 TD, his 2nd career 200+game.
