    NHL09 Poll

    Once NHL09 comes out, I would like to play as my team, the Sabres this year. Now - the Sabres have had some great players play for the club in there 30+ year history. Now i've come up with an all-time roster I *MAY* use. The roster would consist of: Dave Andreychuk -Stu Barnes – J.P Dumont
    Scott Arneil – Dale Hawerchuk – Matthew Barnaby
    Rick Martin – Gilbert Perrault – Rene Robert
    Brad May – Doug Gilmour – Mike Foligno

    Extras: Alexander Mogilny, Rick Dudley, Dick Duff, Chris Gratton, Joe Juneau, Mike Peca, Lindy Ruff, Rob Ray, Miro Satan, Craig Simpson, Vaclav Varada, Danius Zubrus

    Phil Housley – Tim Horton
    Mike Ramsey – Alexi Zhitnik
    Darryl Shannon – James Patrick

    Extras: Dave Maloney, Cory Sarich, Lee Fogolin, Greg Brown, Doug Barrie,

    Tom Barraso
    Dominik Hasek
    Grant Fuhr
    Bob Essensa
    Clint Malarchuk
    Dave Dryden

    For goalies - I would probably use Barraso/Hasek. Possibly Malarchuk/Hasek. I will most likely use Hasek either way, as I would love for him to retire in Buffalo. Lines will change, obviously... French connection as my 3rd line? :P

    But anyways, what would you guys prefer to see? Proper roster, or an all-time roster?

              yeah, go with the '08-'09 rosters, and i'll definetley follow this Sabres dynasty

                  I wouldn't use all-time because of some people who have passed away, it just isn't good to do, so just start the Sabres one

                      I was actually going to do a Sabres Dynasty on here, but I wouldn't have a problem with someone else doing it.

                      Anyways, use the current roster, and for an all-time team, I would never, EVER, place Dainius Zubrus on one. He was a rental for one season.

                      And I'd have this as the lines.

                      Rick Martin- Gilbert Perreault- Rick Martin
                      Dave Andreychuk- Don Luce- Danny Gare
                      Craig Ramsey- Jim Lorentz- Mike Foligno
                      Brad May- Rob Ray- Matthew Barnaby (ultimate pest line)

                      Phil Housley- Mike Ramsey
                      Jim Schoenfeld- Jerry Korab
                      Larry Playfair- Bill Hajt

                      Dominik Hasek
                      Don Edwards

                      Extras-

                      C: Stu Barnes, Curtis Brown
                      LW: Lindy Ruff, Miroslav Satan
                      RW: Maxim Afinogenov, Ric Seiling

                          honestly - Zubrus was just a quick second addition. He wasn't a vital aspect for the half season he was around.
