Update 12/24/08: Ole Miss Dynasty scrapped to make room for project of Alive and Kicking: The Starter. The reason I did this was so that I could really get Matthew King started in the right direction and really get back into this. I have found a good set of sliders thanks to AuburnAlumni. I have also decided that King's life, if it goes into the NFL, will be displayed in this thread. I feel that NCAA has some playability left for me - I honestly want to get to playing NFL2k5 as much as possible.
Below is the basic idea of what this thread is all about.
So with the finding of these sliders, I decided to tackle a report style in the form of a Create Player. It is not legend mode, I am not a fan of the Campus Legend Mode in the game so this way I can feel comfortable and not limited to certain parts of the game. What I will be doing in order to see where my player goes, is run CL Mode - simulate mostly everything I can - then sit and wait. I'm actually pretty excited about that. After I see where the player goes, I will exit CL Mode, create him in the roster, then start this bad boy Dynasty off.
Lastly, If my player has the chance to play in the NFL, I will be playing NFL2k5 for the Xbox with GR18's franchise file and will possibly create a new thread dedicated for the second part of my CAP's career. I will be simulating each season in NFL2k5 or maybe play a select amount of games if I feel the need to put up a quick report on how the NFL is doing. Actual current 2009 recruits and thereafter will be created in this report, I will try my best to identify with their possible ratings from Rivals.com and see how we do from there.
Can't wait to get started - take care and stay tuned!
Games - NCAA Football 2009 (PS3) -- ESPN NFL2k5
Roster - RAZRr1275's PS3 NCAA 09 Edits #6, GR18's franchise (NFL2k5)
Quarters - 7 minutes -- 8 minutes (NFL2k5)
Difficulty - All American
Sliders - OS Legends Post-Patch Sliders (Operation Sports) ---- My own (NFL2k5)
Game play Rules - I only control my FS on defense. If my CAP is playing, I only control
him. On offense I only control my QB. I simply snap the ball on run plays and let the CPU take over the RB animations. This includes when a wide-receiver catches the ball, I do not control him either, I let the CPU take over - and the same goes for when a ball is intercepted or recovered, EXCEPT when my CAP makes the play.
Play Calling - Ask Corso will be the main method of playcalling. If he pulls bonehead decisions or continues to suggest the same plays over and over - I will take over. I may only take over once a series.
Recruiting - No rules as of yet, but I have some research to do on how the CPU does in recruiting. I am not a fan of updating with recruit information - but might do so here and there. Red-Shirting and Transfers are a go with whatever decision the CPU makes.
