NASHVILLE - The Nashville Predators have acquired Goaltender Rick Dipietro and Center Mike Comrie from the New York Islanders in exchange for Center Jason Arnott, Goalie Dan Ellis, and Defenseman Nolan Yonkman.

The Islanders deemed Dipietro expendable when they acquired Tomas Vokoun earlier in the season from the Florida Panthers. Both Players are expected to join the team when they travel to Tampa Bay to take on the Lightning.

Shea Weber has been named captain in place of Arnott and Dan Hamhuis will wear the "A".

NASHVILLE - Dan Ellis and Daniel Tjarnqvist have been claimed off waivers by the Nashville Predators. Ellis was traded to the Islanders by the Predators just a few days before the Islanders placed him on waivers. Tjarnqvist comes from Colorado is expected to report to the AHL's Milwaukee Admirals. No word on why Ellis was waived by the Islanders.

NASHVILLE - Steve Sullivan is rumored to be close to returning to the ice, albeit in a non-contact manner. If Sullivan is given the OK from the Doctors, we could see Sullivan back in a Predators uniform sometime in January or February depending on how soon he gets back into game shape. Sullivan is a UFA at season's end and no word has been released as to his future plans.

NASHVILLE - Defenseman Greg de Vries will be out of action for about 2 months after suffering a hip pointer in the first period of the Tampa Bay game. No roster moves are expected at this time as the Predators had 7 defenseman on the active roster.

Well, I like Ryan because we share the same last name and the story about him donating his hair to that little girl. As far his shooting hand, I never paid attention but I prefer whatever gets the goals.

Go ahead and start your own dynasty, I'm looking forward to it.

I am on all-star using mudtiger's sliders with a couple slight modifications.

I plan on playing at least the Carolina game tonight.. been hectic this past week due to my sister getting married Saturday.

I will tell you that I have known Ryan Jones for about 8 years, and we are pretty good buddies. Worked together for a while and still talk a few times a month. He's a great guy with great character. Will be seeing him on Saturday in Toronto. Thats the only reason I will use Nashville in a Dynasty, as I am a die hard Red Wings fan.

I'm not trying to come off as a story teller or anything here either. Only reason I found this site was by doing a google search for Ryan Jones NHL 09 and this popped up. Wanted to see if there is any way to change him over to a left handed shot!
