GROWING PAINS: WOLVES BLOW BIG LEAD
Wolves blow 14 point halftime lead and lose 109-102 to Mavs

It's going to take time to learn how to put teams away for the young Timberwolves. Building as high as a 17 point third quarter lead, the Timberwolves got outscored by 21 points in the second half to lose 109-102 to the Mavericks.

Dallas outscored Minnesota 44-31 in the final quarter, as superstar PF Dirk Nowitzki caught fire. After a slow start, Nowitzki finished with 30 points and 16 boards on 12 of 22 shooting. Jason Terry added 27 points, including a couple big threes in the fourth quarter.

Mike Miller started the game red hot, scoring 22 of his 32 points in the first half. He finished the game 15 of 25 shooting. Al Jefferson continued to be a beast down low, grabbing 17 boards and scoring 24 points.

THUNDER CONTROL LINE AS WOLVES LOSE
Thunder go 26 of 30 from line in 106-96 loss

They say the more aggressive team will get to the free throw time more often, and that was just the case as the Oklahoma City Thunder defended their home court with a 106-96 win over divisional foe Minnesota.

Kevin Durant scored 23 points, including 7 of 7 from the charity stripe. Fellow second year player Jeff Green added 19 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists in the win.

The Timberwolves started ice cold, scoring a season low 17 points in the first quarter. After scoring just four points in the first six minutes, the bench came in to spark the team to get moving after a lackluster performance the night before.

Al Jefferson lead the way for Minnesota, scoring 23 points and grabbing 10 boards for his third straight double-double. Kevin Love added 15 points and 9 boards, while Randy Foye scored 20+ for the second straight game. He added six assists in a losing effort.
