Steve Finley had an RBI double in the 4th to cut the lead to 3-1 and Junior Spivey had a sac fly in the 6th to cut the deficit to 3-2. In the 7th, Jordan blasted his 1st homer of the season to give the Dodgers a lead. However, Paul Quantrill gave up back to back singles before Luis Gonzalez drove in 2 runs with a double to level the game at 4 to send the game into a 10th inning. In the Dodgers' half, Shawn Green's first homer of the season capped off a 3 run inning and Eric Gagne struck out the side to earn his 1st save of the year...Game 2 goes tonight at 10:05 EST..

While Dessens struggled for the D-Backs, his defense also did not help his cause, making 2 errors that led to more runs by the Dodgers.
