Gonzalez rbi single gets cubbies on the board 1-0 in the 4th, bellhorn scores gonzalez on next hit, Mets offense was held to 1 hit through 7 innings. Wigginton's 2 run rbi double tires the game in the 7th, 4-2 in the going into the 8th inning when the cubbies bats get hot Alou leads off with a single, Sosa scores alou on a double, Patterson gets IBB, Choi hits into a FC to make the game 4-2, Bako gets a single to score bellhorn to take a 5-4 lead in the middle of the 8th. Prio k's the side in the 8th, Fransworth comes in with a 5-2, Mets score two on timo to get it to 5-4 with 2 outs, Fransworth k's Piazza to get the save.
