Make your travel plans for the Texas Bowl, Tulane Fans! Tulane comes into the home state of Texas A&M for the Texas Bowl. Tulane has a record of 6-6. Texas A&M has a record of 8-4. One of Coach Knite's goals is to beat Texas A&M. This is his first chance. Lets hope Tulane can come out firing like they did against Memphis. Lee and Kirk haven't decided who they are picking to win this game.

Thrope announces Tulane's Skehan as its 2008 recipient. David had 104 tackles, 6 TFLs, 7 Interceptions, and 7 pass deflections.

                Tulane (6-6) vs. Texas A&M (8-4)
This might not even be a game. This could be a scrimmage for the Aggies. Tulane just got lucky getting into a bowl game. Yea they played hard, but it is still lucky to get picked to be in a bowl game. Texas A&M is favored by only 5 points. Thats a small win. Tulane is fealing lucky, so they are going to wear their Olive Green jerseys. Texas A&M is going to wear their away uniform, White jersey with Maroon pants.

Lee Corso and Kirk Herbstriet are totally agreeing on this pick. Tulane comes from one of the weekest conferences in FBS. Texas A&M on the other hand, comes from the best conference in FBS. The Aggies finished #5 in the Big 12 this year as they did better than Oklahoma and Texas. Oklahoma was #8 and Texas #7 in the Big 12. Tulane finished #4 in C-USA behind Tulsa who finished 8-5 and second in C-USA only behind Southern Miss who finished 10-3 but beating Tulsa in the C-USA championship game.

Texas A&M has 5 of 8 categories that fall in their direction. They are better than Tulane in points per game, pass offense, total defense, pass defense, and turnover diffrence. Texas A&M is ranked #31 as they score 32.5 points per game. Tulane is #66 in that category. Pass offense is terrible for both teams but Texas A&M is ranked 39 spots higher than Tulane at the #80 spot. Tulane is dead last in that category at #119. In total defense, Texas A&M has held their oppenents to only 3,676 yards all season. They areranked #21 in that category. Texas A&M's pass defense is almost 1,000 yards better than Tulane's and thats only because of the Big 12's high powered throwing attacks. 4 takeaways better than Tulane, Texas A&M has a turnover diffrential of 11. That is ranked #6 in the nation. Be ready for this game to have lots of turnovers.

Tulane is better in the rest of the 3 categories. They have a better total offense with almost 1000 yards less than Texas A&M which probally means they are worst. Tulane is better in rush offense as Andre Anderson has rushed for two single game and one season rushing record this season. Tulane is ranked #9 in rush offense. In rush defense, Tulane is ranked #1 in the nation. They have only given up 671 yards rushing all season. Tulane will need that as they try to stop the duo of McGee and Goodsen.

Texas A&M comes into this game with not very much to worry about. Bradley Stephens (HB) is probable for this game. Considering that it is the last game of the season, he will play.

Tulane comes into this game with NOTHING to worry about. They have no injuried players or players that don't know if they can play. Tulane is a below .500 team in bowl games. With this game they are looking to become 5-6 in bowl games, with a win.

Texas A&M had some key wins during their season. During week 11 they beat Oklahoma (6-6, 3-5), at Kyle Field in College Station, Texas, by a score of 34-28. Three weeks later they went to Austin, Texas, to take on the Texas Longhorns (8-4, 4-4). They won the game 44-28.

Tulane also had some key wins. Their first key win came against UAB in the Louisiana Superdome. The game went into overtime and Tulane ended up winning 44-38. During this game, Casey Robottom set an NCAA record for longest kick return at 91 yards and a touchdown. Two weeks later, Tulane went into Memphis, as both teams had a record of 5-6 and looking for a win to become bowl eligible. Tulane came out firing and whomped Memphis 52-26, as Andre Anderson broke his own record by rushing for 316 yards in a single game.

This game is probally one of the most overlooked games during week two of the bowl season. Imagine a playoff system. Tulane probally wouldn't be in it and would be playing Iowa in the Poinsettia Bowl. Who knows?
