MLB 07 The Show: Hall of Fame Pitcher Stats

Another one a few years old, that I thought it'd be fun to share with you guys.

I had a pitcher that was dominant. Fastball that topped at 102 mph, a wicked almost Eephus like change-up, a 90's slider, a Forkball and a Sinker. I actually played the first 11 seasons, then I simulated the second half of my guys' career.

Started in the Cubs system, but I wasn't going to move up because of depth, so in the 08 season I went to the Angels, was called up and had 21 starts for an ERA of 4.10. Started 09 in the minors again, but dominated in four starts, and went on to the majors for a strong year.

Stayed with the Angels through 2013, got to (and lost) in the World Series, 6 seasons and 4 times in the playoffs with 2 Cy Youngs.

Spent 2014 with the Cubs (My real favorite team) team wasn't great, so I left to the Mets for 6 seasons. (I played two seasons, won a World Series and a Cy Young in my last year, ERA of 1.70)
In the simulation, got to the World Series twice later with the Mets but lost both times.

Went BACK to the Cubs for 2021 and 2022, won a Cy Young and a World Series. Then went to the Braves for two years, won a Cy Young and a World Series.

Then I played my final 9 years with the Orioles, Won 2 World Series, Got to the Series 3 other times, and won 3 Cy Youngs.

In the end, my guy had 821 starts, with a "Record" (I think W-L for Pitchers is really flawed) of 427-151, and a career ERA of 2.97. 77 complete games, 40 shutouts. 5489.2 innings, 5195 strikeouts, career average against righties as .237, and .241 against lefties.

Here's an Excel file with the complete stats for those interested. You can tell which year I stopped playing and started simming, because the walk totals skyrocketed.

My final season (hardest level, with Mets) ERA of 1.70, 268 strikeouts and 4 walks.
