Darren Collison had 18 points on 8-11 shooting while dishing 3 assists and 3 steals. Freshman phenom Jrue Holiday had an off shooting night in his debut in the Bruins' uniform, scoring 12 points on 5-14. Morgan St. made a little run in the 2nd half but it wasn't enough as the Bruins will move on to the 2nd round to face Buffalo.

Bruins rout Bulls, cruise past 2nd round

The Bruins finished the game in the first half with a commanding 21 pts lead over the Buffalo Bulls. The Bulls never came close in this whole game. They started off the game going cold from the field and finding themselves down 20 points early on in the contest. Bruins were led by red shirted senior Josh Shipp. Josh Shipp and Darren Collison are the returning starters from the final four Bruins a year ago. Certainly, he hopes to win the National Championship before they turn pro.

Gardner-Webb stuns UCLA in tournament, commentator calls UCLA "Overrated"

Gardner-Webb came into this game beating #16 Kentucky by 4. Then a day after, The Bulldogs went on and stunned the #2 rank UCLA Bruins. Josh Shipp scored 26 for the Bruins but that wasn't enough to win the game. Dillon Boggs for the Bulldogs had a tremendous game, scoring 20 pts on 7-13 shooting.

The last minute of the game was very exciting, Bulldogs drained two FT to go up by 2. Then Shipp on the other hand drained a three to gave the Bruins a one point lead. Gardner-Webb didn't call a timeout as they went down the court, Boggs drew a foul on Jrue Holiday while shooting a three and he drained 2 of the 3 FT to give the Bulldogs a 1 point lead. After a timeout, star point guard Darren Collison missed a 3 at the buzzer that could win it. Gardner-Webb will face #5 Memphis tomorrow and #2 UCLA will hosts Oklahoma in the last game of the tournament. If Gardner-Webb can upset Memphis, they will be the team to watch.

UCLA rallies in the 2nd half to beat Oklahoma, Holiday reacts to "Overrated" comment.

Jrue Holiday responded to the comments made by last night's commentator by scoring 17 pts, 6-10 from the field. Jrue was the one who kept UCLA in the game in the first half. Darren Collison and Josh Shipp were having a bad first half but the freshman came up big by scoring 12 of his 17 pts in the first half to keep the game close.

"They shouldn't call us "Overrated", wait till the end of season then talk." Holiday said. Oklahoma's Griffin brothers scored a combine of 25 points total. UCLA's defense bother them a bit. In the other match up, Memphis was able to knock out Gardner-Webb by 10 points.
