I have created a team on College Hoops 2k8. I will be running this dynasty along with my Toledo Rockets Dynasty at the same time.

New University announces head coach for basketball program. The GreenDevils first ever head coach is Marcus Young.

Coach Young has been named head coach of the SEMU GreenDevils. Coach Young is 29 and hails from Michigan. His coaching resume includes 2 years as an assistant coach at Ida High School, 2 years as a head coach of Battle Creek (career record of 27-18) and he has spent the last six seasons as an assistant coach of the Oakland University Grizzlies. Coach Young stated "Taking over a brand new program is going to be a challange but, I think we have what it takes to make this university proud. We are taking this with a long term approach but, that doesn't mean we don't plan on being competative early on."
The Green Devils 1st annual Green vs. Black game will be held tonight in the brand new Stone Arena.

SEMU 1st annual Green/Black game kicks off season.

The GreenDevils played their 1st ever game in the Stone Arena. Green team winning 31-12. Artie Freedman scored 18 points on 7/12 shooting. Tariz Conroy scored 4 points and was 2/7 from the field. Coach Marcus Young stated "It felt great to see 3000 fans excited for our first season. We have a ways to go but, I loved the effort that this team put forward tonight."
The GreenDevils 1st home game will be next week against the Temple Owls. "We feel ready to play." stated Freedman.

Green Devils play 1st game tonight vs. WMU!!!
Southeastern Michigan travels to face the Broncos tonight.

Tonight marks history for Coach Young and his GreenDevils as they enter the record books facing MAC opponent Western Michigan tonight at Western Michigan. The Broncos are 0-4 but, will still prove a tough opponent tonight. ESPN's Prediction is SEMU 58 WMU 64. The GreenDevils are actually predicted to finish their first season 1-27 by ESPN.
"We are excited to get on the court tonight and officially play our first game. We would like all the fans to come out to Western Michigan and watch us play." Season Ticket holders for the GreenDevils may purchase tickets for tonights game at a discounted rate. The game will also air on ESPNU at 7:30 tonight.

Coach Young excited to return to Western Michigan:
Coach Marcus Young returns to his alumni as opponent.

"I had a great time as a Bronco and they are a great program. I am honored to have them as our first ever opponent." As a WMU player, coach Young played in 68 games starting in 32 games, as a senior he lead the Broncos with 6.5 assists and 14.8 points per game.
The WMU Broncos (0-4) will prove a difficult task for this young program. "Don't let their record fool you they are a tough team and will compete for the MAC title this season."

SEMU losses big in debut.
GreenDevils fall to Western Michigan 49-78.

It was a tough opening night for Coach Young and his GreenDevils. Outgunned, outclassed, and outshot tonight against the Broncos. The score was close at halftime 24-32 and the GreenDevils made a run in the second half to get within 4 points with the score 34-38 that's when experience and talent stepped in for the Broncos. The Broncos outscored SEMU 40-15 over the last 8:30 of the game and picked up their second win of the season. The GreenDevils only shot 31.9% from the field and were outrebounded 31-40. "We need some time to come together as a team. We fought hard we just don't have the tools yet, give us some time and we will prove that we can compete with alot of teams." stated Coach Young after starting his coaching career 0-1.

Temple Spoils Home Opener!!!!
Owls beat GreenDevils 86-57.

The SEMU GreenDevils opened up at home this season and the Stone Arena was not a fun place to be tonight. The sold out crowd of 4000 was witness to history tonight as the GreenDevils home debut equaled a second strait 29 point defeat. The GreenDevils shot 34.3% from the field and were 3 of 22 from 3pt shots. The Owls shot 51.6% and out rebounded SEMU 45-26. "We need to stop trying to shot the three so much and get some rebounds. We gave a good effort tonigh, we just don't execute well." stated Coach Young.
T. Conroy scored 15 points and was 7-18 from the field
A. Freedman scored 14 off the bench and was 6-12 from the field. " The GreenDevils travel to Baylor (3-1), Iowa (4-0), and Texas Tech (0-3) in the coming week. "It's gonna be a wild ride" staed Conroy. The GreenDevils also face Michigan, Bowling Green, Georgia Tech, Kansas, and Eastern Michigan in non conferance play this season.

Coach Marcus Young stated today "we are learning as we go and I guarantee that we will be a better team come the end of the season. Our record might not show it but, we are making progress everyday."

SEMU loses after leading at halftime to Baylor

Waco, TX

The Southeastern Michigan GreenDevils had their first ever halftime lead, as they lead the Baylor Bears by 4 points. The end result an 88-77 loss. "we made great strides today, I am extremely excited by the effort put forth by these young men today." stated Coach Young.

Next game @ Iowa (4-2)
